I enjoyed the shows.... I like the lite banter in the squad room.... I enjoyed Gibbs but his barking commands got old....
NCIS Hawaii has the worst music if you can call it that of any show I've watched....
To be honest I watch Hawaii because in doing so I'm delaying for another hour going back to the cable "news" networks.....
Did enjoy Wilmer on Late Night last night.... demonstrating his daughter's dance moves....

I suppose I should start by saying that I've liked Jack McGee (the young woman's dad) in a number of things (usually small roles) and he didn't disappoint. Neither did Fornell nor Dr. Grace. The best thing about the plot was that it didn't hang over into the Hawaii hour, so we could see the case resolved and not have to move to the new show to find out whodunit. Have watched the new show twice and was unimpressed so I was pleased to be able to cut the TV off and get on with my world. BTW, my wife and I are usually pretty good at figuring out the villain but we blew this one (picked the brother).

I’ve enjoyed NCIS Hawaii up to this point, and will keep watching - until I don’t….
OMG! Wilmer cracked me up when he was demonstrating how his 14 month old daughter dances to the Encanto soundtrack! (I didn’t know he voiced one of the characters in the Oscar winning animated movie) so cute when he said they quit playing it when it looked like she was “twerking”… 😂 he’s actually a very entertaining interview… made me laugh when he described the NCIS episodes as “all mixed up” - ha! even he thinks so! 😅
cable “news” has pretty much lost me as a viewer… it’s the samo, samo every day/night, and not conducive to good mental health…

I really enjoyed the episode too. Unfortunately since I can't access the board from my work computer, I have to do all my posting from my personal laptop and I'm still swamped with work, so often the last thing I want to do is look at another computer after I spent all day staring at one.
Anyway, I thought the mystery of the episode was nice and twisty. The second family was a different twist, especially after everyone was so convinced that the dead guy was such a nice guy. We got a bunch of good suspects who all could have had a good reason for killing him (including the wife) but there wasn't anything that overtly gave it away that the wife was guilty.
I really liked that it was a balanced storyline for each of the members of our team. Everyone had their moment, and everyone worked together to solve the case. Lots of funny moments from Parker's TPS vs TBS report. I'm surprised it took them this long to make that gag although since I've never seen Office Space, I'm sure I didn't find it as funny as others. Parker getting beaned by the wife was also pretty amusing too.
It was nice to see Fornell again and I really loved the last scene where he reached out to the grieving father. I also liked that they took the time to solve the father's "case" where the scammers were trying to convince him that his daughter was still alive.
And implausible as it is that Grace is leading a support group, juggling a slew of clients and also serving as a staff psychologist for NCIS is, it was nice to see her again. Although I did find that little thing at the end where Parker called their session a 'date' and she freaked out a little. Dr. Grace is supposed to be married, so I'm not sure what to make of her reaction.
I did watch the Hawai'i episode but I fell asleep and missed the end. I'm usually in bed before Hawai'i would end, so I watch it the next day. Thus falling asleep during it wasn't indicative that it was boring. I liked the first half of it. I'll have to come back with my verdict on the second half of the crossover when I finish the episode.

Yes I really like the actor who portrayed the grieving father also.
I mentioned this is the eaten post. I liked the fact that they went after the scammers. There is a place in hell reserved for people who prey on grieving family and friends - especially parents who lost a child. And the granny scammers....

Maybe in a future episode McGee can announce that a strike team finally got the African prince.

Had we ever heard the bit about Torres going to "a conference" in Orlando, where, apparently, he and Tennant hooked up for a fling? I hope it was after her divorce, and not while he and Bishop were playing will they, won't they, although they only said "a few years ago"

it seems as if the writers are writing things as they go along these days…
I couldn’t figure out what time period Torres and Tennant would have had this “fling”… how long ago was it? how long has she been divorced? wasn’t Torres an undercover agent before he came to NCIS? this whole “fling thing” just made no sense!
and the most annoying thing of all is how all the team members - both at H.Q. & Hawaii - act like a bunch of juveniles about “TNT” - running around trying to find all the sordid details of their “hook-up”… 😡 who cares? do grown people really act that way? you’d think they’re a bunch of 12 year olds in junior high - more Wonder Years than NCIS…
the writers of NCIS have done this consistently over the years, and it’s really silly…

This isn't anything original with NCIS. I've been watching the first season of "The Newsroom" recently. Found the DVD's at the local HPB. Sorkin does the same thing with his storylines. Almost the entire cast acts like young teens with their romances. The disappointing thing there is that Sorkin is such a better writer than that. Even Lucy Liu's character turned into a teen when Sherlock developed feelings for Fiona on "Elementary". It just seems like it's a thing writers and producers like to do. Although I do remember that "Person of Interest" stayed away from the relationship's for the first two or three seasons.
