Oh, and I initially forgot - Virginia near DC was definitely established as where Diaz operates, and they move Maria to Baltimore for witness protection; the closest possible major city to where her enemies are? I suppose they needed her close for the sake of the plot, but it really makes witsec look incredibly incompetent.
One of several points where the marshals and WitSec in particular dropped every ball...

@ Hari & BobNOT…
this kinda’ reminds me of a situation wayyyy back when I used to watch Blue Bloods (I don’t any longer) when the youngest 👮♀️/son went “undercover” to infiltrate a local crime family - and yet at the same time he stayed on the beat, went home every day/night, and still had dinner with his folks every Sunday!
I thought, at the time, “Wow, that was really stupid!” - - that’s not exactly how “undercover” works, does it? undercover = change of location and identity, right? they must have thought the “crime family” was blind AND stupid…
anyway, it was about that time I decided to stop watching that show, because I wasn’t that stupid!
🤔 I wonder, sometimes, how much these writers actually research the stuff they’re writing about…

eta: OMGosh! 5 “D” grades! 😱 that’s highly unusual, isn’t it?

Yeah, that's as bad as if Tony had continued to work cases with the team at NCIS, used his own car, and lived at his own apartment while he was seducing Jeanne. Glad they didn't do that.
