🤔 what link/website are you referring to? (hate to sound ignorant, but I’ve never looked at poll numbers for any show)…

Are you talking about the thing at the top of this page, or have I misunderstood you?

nas After every episode, I add a poll to the episode thread, Nas. It's at the top of this thread and in the first post of ever other episode that has aired. I give 5 options, A through F, with a quote from the episode. Just click on the grade you'd give the episode. No need to go to CBS. It's just for our board folks.

nas I'm guilty of not voting here. I'd give it a 'D' without the Ducky scenes, but I'm undecided on how much the Ducky scenes should raise the score. If Ducky were in every episode it wouldn't be much, but it's been so long since we've seen him.

Well I liked the episode. Was it extremely coincidental that the liver Palmer and Knight were escorting was bound for the suspect in their case? Sure. But It made for an entertaining hour.
Some thoughts in semi-episodic order.
- I liked McGee and Torres ribbing Jess for the wedding photos. If she would have just said 'yeah we had a good time,' they probably would have dropped it. But her squirrely response, the awkward interaction at the crime scene and her quick volunteering to help Jimmy escort the liver all added up to something more between them.
- I wonder if there was something cut from the opening scene that would have explained the guy at the car wash pushing the deluxe wash. Torres mentioned something about the van still smelling like it hit a skunk?
- They mentioned that the dead guy was fired from his job as a reporter. Did they ever mention why he was fired? I don't think they did.
- Jimmy not being a strong navigator has precedence. I can recall several episodes where Ducky complained that Jimmy can't read maps or got them lost on the way to a crime scene. It was a nice excuse for Jess to volunteer to go with him and perfectly in character for him to be nervous about messing up such an important task.
- Man that doctor was obnoxious. Impressively obnoxious actually. I'm always impressed with the guest actors that are brought in for NCIS. He played the part very well. He was the worst kind of third wheel. Still felt kinda bad he was killed for it though.
- Of course Jimmy has a hermetically sealed PB&J. I liked his little smile as he watched Knight cut off the crust. Considering her love of bento boxes, I'm not surprised she is anti-crust.
- I know it was for extra drama but poor Jimmy is having a rough year. At least it was just a ricochet that got him.
Cabin scene - It really bugged me that Knight put the relatively clean rags onto the filthy table. - I loved Knight taking a swig of the whiskey for liquid courage, Jimmy chided her and then did the same thing. - I liked how Jimmy confronted her about not talking about the good time that they had at the wedding. Terrible timing but she couldn't exactly avoid the conversation, so I guess that makes it perfect timing? It also kinda pokes fun at the writer's tendency to not talk about things that happened in previous episodes. - Jimmy poured out his heart to her and she friend-zoned him. Poor guy. Wounded twice. Once by the bullet and once by rejection. - "Jimmy, I failed home ec" made me laugh. I should have used that as one of the poll quotes. - Her admission that she likes him too was adorably awkward. And I get how she is the type to rather not risk losing a good friend on a potential relationship. - Count me in on liking those two together, partially because that means there won't be questions about Knight and Torres getting together. Plus I think Jimmy is a sweet guy. After they unceremoniously killed his wife off screen, he deserves some happiness.
- I know she was trying to attract attention but all I could think of when Jess shot into the air was that she was wasting ammunition when she knew she was being chased by heavily armed and homicidal people trying to kill her. She needed that ammo!
- Nice use of the dead deer other than just something gruesome in the woods. Very clever Jimmy. Although, he said he left the real one "on ice at the cabin." I didn't notice any other containers while they were in the cabin so, not sure how he managed that.
- It's interesting that Jimmy was complaining about Ducky moving the supplies as Jimmy had them was interesting because I just caught the re-run where Ducky decides to take leave to teach/write his book and one of the things Jimmy was worried about was putting the supplies where Ducky liked them. Jimmy has grown to the point that he's complaining to his mentor about messing up his supplies. Subtle but nicely shows Jimmy's growth.
- Jimmy's surfing analogy stuck out because Lucy used a wave metaphor just recently on NCIS Hawai'i when talking about emotions. I can't recall her exact quote but it was in effect the opposite of Jimmy's use because she was trying to get over a breakup and Jimmy's trying to convince Knight to give a relationship a try.
- I liked that Jess decided to ask Jimmy out to coffee. Like I said, I think those two are fun together. Not sure how well it'll work for them but at least there isn't going to be the eternal will they/won't they question.
It wasn't a complex episode. Once it started, everything really kinda went in one direction. But it was fun and there was some good character moments.

I feel the same. It was not a great epsiode but I thought that it was better than some of the other stand alone episodes.
I wish they did not feel the need to ship, but would much rather it be Jessica and Jimmy then two agents.
Loved seeing Ducky ...
Llyan I agree with most of the points that you made...
