tho’ we are on a different page with our opinion of the episode, I do so enjoy reading what you write, brgjoe - always do!
among other things, you wrote the following: yes, brg, yes it does! and why would they keep meeting at a place where you have to go thru the back door and past the kitchen to get to the dining area? oh, oh, I know why! so they could be filmed by a surveillance camera for the agents to see at a later time… how terribly fortuitous! 😅
given enough time Maxie and I could shred this episode to pieces…

Thank you for the kinda words once again nas. Always enjoying your commentary as well, even when we might disagree on the quality of an episode.
And really you're not wrong about all the problems you saw in the episode. I guess for me the logical fallacies and inconsistencies didn't bother me as much. Maybe it's a bit of a nostalgia feeling. Seeing Delilah back and having Tim go back to his book authoring again made me think of happier times for the show.
One thing I forgot to mention. And it could be something I missed or misunderstood. But didn't McGee say the alley didn't have a surveillance camera and they were just using one from across the street? Those images really looked sharp from just a fixed camera on the other side of the street. Especially when they could find a closeup of that poor dead dude's keychain to see if he had that flash drive on him or not. Probably due to their super duper video enhancing software I guess. I can barely get a decent picture with my smartphone camera a lot of the time.
So...is the next new episode going to be the big crossover event? If so....not sure I'm going to watch the other crossovered shows. Probably going to be just NCIS unless there is something big I will miss by omitting the other two.

ya’ know, brgjoe, there have been people who have asked me why I even watch NCIS if all I do is write negative comments… the short answer is: “it’s my job!” 😄 the Realist in me just can’t overlook all the unrealistic stuff they write into the show…
seriously tho’, there are some episodes that I like and when I do I say so - even if they are few and far between… also, watching NCIS is a bad habit I can’t seem to break - kinda like smoking - but watching NCIS once a week isn’t a serious threat to my health! AND I enjoy the exchange with the “board buddies”, and posting pix & videos of Buck on our Fur Babies thread…
I don’t recall what McGee said about how they got the video of Delilah meeting the victim in the back alley, but whether it was right above them or across the street really isn’t important… the scene was written just so the agents could make the connection between the two of them - and like I said before, “how very fortuitous!” that there was such a clear shot at all…
I presume NCIS will be on winter hiatus and the next episode will be part of the “3-way” in January… I think it will be lost on you if you don’t watch the other two episodes - unless you don’t care “who dunnit” or why someone would put a $200k bounty on all of the agents heads… I’ll probably watch it for lack of anything better to watch on that Monday night…

Me too nas. I am still enjoying many of the episodes although I agree for the most part they are no where near as sharp as the earlier seasons. I am usually a little behind because I watch them on dvr, but I like coming on the boards with all my cyber friends.
And I love seeing Buck !!!

Spent a lot of time (well, at least some) trying to figure out if I liked this episode or not. I finally decided I did, at least more than usual this season. Can't say I was impressed with the case. In fact, the Torres plot he delivered for McGee to use in his theoretical new book early in the episode sounded better than the one we were seeing. Maybe they should turn it into an episode. The actors who play McGee and Delilah work well together and it's always a treat to have her show up, even if the reason for her coming on the show is convoluted. Hope they keep with the side plot of McGee going back to writing. The episodes they did years ago concerning the books were pretty good and I loved the interaction with the scooter rental person and McGee a couple of years ago when she recognized him from the back cover of his first book.

nas Sorry, wasn't able to watch until today. I got a severely different impression on the going in the back door and through the kitchen - to me it seemed a blatant PSA about businesses not accommodating the handicapped. While I do favor things being wheelchair accessible, that may not be practical for a lot of older buildings and I don't think we got a shot of the front to see the setup.
In another post you questioned Delilah not getting an electric wheelchair. There are reasons she wouldn't, one of which would be to keep active. If she goes to a powered chair she isn't getting any exercise at all and in real life her body would decline because of it. It also would probably have negative psychological effects on her to go to full dependence on a mechanical device. I'd also point out that she never has anyone pushing the chair for her; another indication of wanting to keep that degree of physical independence.

Just remembered one more silly thing about this episode. It wasn't major, so I didn't really think about it at the time I gave my first comments on the episode.
But towards the end of the episode, Agent Knight grabs this guy's Frisbee(tm) and throws it, knocking the perp down. Didn't look like she threw it hard enough to knock down a small child, much less a young adult college student.
There are certainly worse stretching of credibility on this show. But that scene just me laugh out loud. I can just see him saying to his cellmates, "Yeah, and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling agent and her Frisbee!" LOL.

Another comment on the electric wheelchairs ... they are very heavy. I believe it is also more difficult to transfer into and out of them.
And financially they may only bee covered for people who do not have the ability to push their own.

you’re not the only one to LOL at that scene, brgjoe… I basically said the same thing in my original post about the episode:it always makes me roll my 👀 when the “bad guy” takes off running when the agents approach them (where are they running to??), but in this case the genius takes off on a scooter! that was hilarious! 😂😂 he could have actually run faster that that silly little scooter was going! just thinking about it is making me laugh again…

It wasn't like he was running away. He was on a scooter or essentially a tightrope on wheels. I don't know about you, but if I'm hit in the head when I'm not expecting it, I'm going to jump. And jumping while riding one of those scooters, can (and did) lead him to crash.

It just distracted him enough to make him veer slightly. if the garbage can hadn't conveniently been right there he would have recovered just fine. In another nitpick, college disc golf was first organized in 2007 and Katrina Law was born in 1985, meaning she would have already been 22 at the time. The only way that works is if she enlisted at 18 then did college on the GI bill, which seems like something the show would have brought up.

I wondered why they didn't say Ultimate Frisbee league because I thought that would be more Knight's speed than disc golf. It also would have been pretty common when Knight was in college. But usmcbrat pointed out that Frisbee might be trademarked and they couldn't say it on the show. And people wouldn't know what she meant if she just say her Ultimate team.

In 1975 I played FRISBEE golf in Central Park in Huntington Beach, CA. Across the street from Golden West Junior College.
The city had installed the poles and baskets prior to me playing there, so the sport has been around a lot longer than 2007...

The city had installed the poles and baskets prior to me playing there, so the sport has been around a lot longer than 2007... The sport itself has, but the competing college leagues only began to form in 2007. Likewise, regular golf has been around for 5-6 centuries, but colleges have only had leagues for about 1/4 that long.
