....
The other thing I had an issue with is using someone's dad undercover once again. I remember Tony's dad doing it a time or two. And now Parker's dad. Couldn't they just recruit a retired agent to do it? Would have laughed if it turned out to be Gibbs. Heh. But they're probably saving his return for something a lot more dramatic. ... Or at least Fornell, he would have fit in well with the gin-playing guy... uh, Bud?

so, I went back and rewatched the last 10 minutes of the episode, from the scene where Knight and Torres went into the basement “estate sale”… couple of comments:
~~ how terribly convenient that Marilyn wrote down the access code to the door so Nick & Jess could just waltz right in and go downstairs - and not even be questioned by the guy at the top of the steps… nope, just say Marilyn’s name, and down they go!
~~ the arrest scene was pure corn! the acting was soooo bad! “I still love you, baby.” ewww! 😝 of course, there had to be a “take down” fight scene between Knight and the old dude! where the hell was he gonna’ run to? (btw, I ❤️ this animated emoticon - I use it often because it says exactly what I feel…)
~~ the team explanation to Vance re the vic’s murder was indeed convoluted - and the reason for killing him was stupid! 😡 like the old guy said as Knight was cuffing him, “That kid didn’t deserve to die!” Correct!!
~~ using a non-agent, i.e. Parker’s dad, in investigations is unrealistic - - like using the actress in the other episode to question the psycho killer with the “eye problem”… irl, ain’t gonna happen!
all that said, I’m gonna file this episode in the “Unreal/Nonsensical” file…

First, I liked Parker's dad and putting him in the center with the rest of the card sharks was done well and it will be interesting to see if the show returns to them from time to time. Main case was a little convoluted, something that's happening more and more. I initially zeroed in on the guy who ran the place, then turned to the little ole lady. Frankly, there were too many coincidences (and remember Gibbs' rule on coincidences) with the lady, the guy just happening to be an art major, etc. So all in all not a bad episode, but not first rate either.
