Highlight the text in your post. Click on Font Face to change the Font (I use Trebuchet MS). Click on the down arrow next to Font Size to increase the size (I use 4 (14Pt).
After you've done this you can go right to posting it or you can preview it to make sure it's to your liking.

Size 3 or 4 would be great.
THREE FOUR Both of these are the Trebuchet font face.

Ive tried to change the size and font but on the IPad is difficult. I am able to highlight it but as soon as I open the menu to change the size or font it doesn't change and the highlight disappears.

hey NewBe, Alessandra and Llyan...
while us refugees are asking font questions, is there any way to make the signature line a different font/color/bold and/or italicized?
it's kinda' "lost" at the bottom of the reply box with such a small font... just thought I'd ask...
thanx...
nas
edit: I think I answered my own question re the bold! I just put the BBCode for "bold" at the beginning and end of my sig... still would like to change font/color and maybe add an emoticon...

I do it by highlighting it and then clicking on the down arrow with Font Face and with Font Size (only one click is needed) and choosing font/size/color/b (for bold). Don't have to go back and forth the way you did on our old board.

@ NewBe
re embellishing my signature line: I tried what you suggested, but all those options are not available when creating a signature... they're only available when I'm typing a reply - like I am now... wonder if it's because I'm using my iPad, and not at my desktop or laptop...

nas I only use my laptop and I can't find any options with the signature. It's simply type in what you want to say, then save. No creativity allowed.

yep, pd, seems the only thing I can do is make my signature bold by typing in [ b] before and [ /b] after the line... (without those spaces after the left bracket)

nas Just like you can modify the text in your post, you can change the font size and color for your signature. It just doesn't provide you the buttons to make it easier. So what you can do, is generate the signature in any thread reply. Then click on the BBCode tab at the bottom left of this reply box. That shows the formatting in the language that the board understands (much like how you used the [ b] [ /b] code to make it bold). Copy and paste that into your signature when you modify your profile and you should be good to go.

Is there a way to make a font and font size as part of your default setting? Not that I've found. Wish there was because it's a pain in the rear to have to change it every time.

and I just noticed something else:
every font style shows up differently in my desktop, laptop, and iPad...
it really is a pain in the pa-tooty to have to choose a font style/size every time I want to post something...
hmmm... maybe that's why we don't have a lot of activity on this forum? perhaps people get frustrated with the difficulties in trying to post; I am fairly computer literate, and find this forum not to be particularly "user friendly" in certain areas (like posting links & images, for instance)...
just a thought...
