@ seldon
thanx - Elizabeth Rohm, the park ranger, is exactly who I was thinking of!
@ llyan
if I'm not mistaken Dr. Grace Confalone mentioned in one of the episodes that she is married, so it's not likely she would be a love interest for Gibbs... in addition to which you have that little business of doctor-patient relationship ethics... so, no, I doubt it would be her...
Nas, I didn't mean to imply that Dr. Grace would be a love interest for Gibbs. I just meant that it was strange they were casting another psychiatrist considering that we have a few to pick from and Gibbs already has his own shrink. Plus from the article I quoted, it seemed like this mystery woman being a romantic foil for Gibbs was conjecture anyhow.

oh, sorry llyan, I totally misunderstood what you said...
seems that people want LJG to have a -interest every season...
imo, the man should stay "solo"; he married 4 women; been divorced from 3 of them... his track record with romantic relationships is dismal... why don't they just leave well enough alone?

Well, things have really gotten crowded around the studio this week. There are 3 extra cast trailers, and the make-up trailer has been moved "outside the gate" onto the street. The helicopter is still sitting back in the back taking up room, too - will probably be there until they finish up with the premiere epi. Haven't seen anybody coming/going/strolling around yet this season, but about halfway through last season they started closing the back gate all the time, so that makes it a bit harder to see stuff from across the street. I will try to keep an eye out for anybody and everybody over there, and I will make an effort to get onto this board from time to time, too. That may have to wait until I finish my binge-watching the first 6 seasons of GoT (got 2 months free HBONow when I bought my Roku).

I've always loved your 'inside information' and I'm glad to see that you've made your way here. It seems like they've finished up filming the premiere episode. Scott Williams posted a picture of basement booze and there have been photos posted from the set, mostly from Wilmer and Emily. Brian and Duane have thrown a few in as well. The only people I haven't seen pictured on set have been Mark, Sean, and David, although I suspect the first two were intentionally omitted from their pictures for spoilery reasons.

tvline.com/2017/07/27/maria-bello-ncis-season-15-cast/Maria Bello Joins NCIS Season 15, Will Forge 'Unique Relationship' With Gibbs Gibbs is about to make a new full-time frenemy. Maria Bello (ER, Prime Suspect) is joining NCIS‘ forthcoming 15th season as a series regular and a foil for Mark Harmon’s special agent, TVLine has learned. She will debut in Episode 4 as an agent (name TBD) who, per CBS’ official character description “was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the army and served two tours in Afghanistan. After joining NCIS, she built her reputation as the agency’s premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second guess and challenge Gibbs, so there will be friction but also mutual respect. She is a positive force, mischievous and at times acerbic.” Fall TV Cast Changes: Leaving & New Actors Fall TV Cast Changes Spoilers Launch Gallery In a joint statement, co-showrunners George Schenck and Frank Cardea said, “We have always been big fans of Maria Bello’s work and are excited to be introducing her as an agent who not only has a distinct talent, but also a unique relationship with Gibbs.” Not sure how I feel about this.... I don't mind Gibbs having a relationship but another head case??

Do we really need another character?

imho, "No"!
I thought that's why Jennifer Esposito [in part] left... figured they were "thinning the herd", but apparently I thought wrong...
just can't live without giving LJG a " -interest", can they? when are they gonna learn, the guy is just no good in the relationship department!
eta: I like Maria Bello well enough, but I just don't see her as "a foil" to Gibbs - with a "unique relationship"... besides didn't they already try that with the Jamie Lee Curtis character? and that went over like a lead balloon, didn't it?

Today, it really got crowded across the street (so much so that they were parked in the "no parking" zone around the corner, and several snuck into the far reach of our office parking lot). Looks like they were/are/will be filming in the little backlot street area, with a camera crane and a big sunshade over a wide area... When I got here at 7am, it looked like they already had catering up and running, or at least something that looked like it

According to Wilmer's instagram, he and Emily are currently filming in the Diner that Gibbs frequents. He also posted the temperature: 37°C... or 98°F. Whew! Keep cool out there and I hope your air conditioning is working properly!

For an early morning call time Catering is usually the first thing set up so the crew can eat breakfast before they start setting up. If it's an outdoor shoot, that probably means background, which usually have an early call time to get everyone checked in and in wardrobe. Cast will also eat at the catering if they don't have something special brought in. Once breakfast is served, they start setting up lunch. Lunch is supposed to be served 6 hours after the first call time, which is usually crew.
At least, the above has been my experience when working on set.

The update this week is that I had a sighting... As I was leaving the office just before 5pm yesterday, I caught a glimpse of Pauley walking toward one of the cast trailers in the back. Unmistakable in the short skirt and thigh-high socks/boots... I really wanted to yell to her and wish her a good season, but didn't want to be TOO creepy, so I just stared for a couple of seconds and headed for my car...

a little help, please! a few of you have mentioned a " -interest" for Gibbs in S15, but I'm drawing a complete blank on this... I vaguely remember a woman towards the season 14 finale, but for the life of me I don't remember who she was or how she figured into the picture... refresh my memory if you will... thanx~ nas
I don't know if it's who they mean for S15, but the one near the end of S14 was the park ranger played by Elisabeth Röhm in 'Beastmaster', S14E22. The one where Gibbs made friends with the horse.
Of course he made friends with a horse.
