penultimate
pɪˈnʌltɪmət/Submit
adjective
last but one in a series of things; second last.
"the penultimate chapter of the book"
So Pauley's episode is not the "Penultimate"? We get two episodes after she leaves, one on May 22nd but also one the week before.

so, if they finish that saying correctly will episode 15.22 be titled "Two Steps Back"?
and, btw, aren't ep's 22 & 23 supposed to be the 2 parter dealing with Abby's departure?
I am really curious about the writing of the last 3 episodes for this season... but, me being me I'm not expecting to be overjoyed... We. Shall. See!
nas I'm just hoping they don't come up with a way to make Abby's exit be all about Ziva.

nas I'm just hoping they don't come up with a way to make Abby's exit be all about Ziva. Well not unless the plot goes like this: Abby finds evidence Ziva is still alive and has been spotted in various places all over the world including the Burger King in Kalamazoo where Elvis worked in the 80's. Abby quits NCIS, hooks up with Tony and together they embark on a Where's Waldo-like quest to find her.

hmmmm, I've never thought about it before, but is a 2 hour episode considered two separate episodes?
ergo, if the May 22nd episode is, in fact, 2 hours long will it be considered #23 & #24?
nas If they do air a 2 hour finale, it is considered to be 2 episodes by production. The 5th season finale was a 2 part episode that aired on the same day and they each have their own production number. So theoretically we could get a repeat on May 15th and still get 24 episodes if they are doing a 2 hour finale. That might depend on the turn around needed to finish post-production. Usually it takes 3-4 weeks between end of filming and airing but they have done it in around 2. One way or another, we'll find out soon!

mention of Tony seems to be RJWagner's job whenever he appears as SR... the first thing he does when he sees Gibbs is give him an "update" on "Junior" and his beautiful little granddaughter...

It has spinoff written all over it. It could be a wacky action/adventure comedy with Abby and Tony going all over the world on zany adventures every week. They could call it "Where in the World is Ziva David?". The Ziva Zealots would love it.

this is the schedule that llyan posted for the remainder of the season:
so, if Abby's departure 2-parter is #15.22 & # 15.23, as we have been told, then that means hers is the penultimate episode (if I'm interpreting that correctly)...

Maybe Elvis will be with them keeping them supplied with peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

oh, o.k.... thanx, llyan!
I thought I read somewhere that there was only ONE episode left after Abby's departure, but after searching for the post I couldn't find it...
one or two - it doesn't matter... I just hope Season 15's upcoming last 5 ep's are decent, and that Maxine & I don't wind up having a major meltdown because of some crappola writing...
time will tell...
