No, Tobias, you screwed up in your quest to catch a killer so you got yourself fired when your friend wouldn't purger himself on your behalf.
If he was fired he lost a 20+ year pension and no matter that Hicks was guilty, Tobias still lied to get a conviction.
Still no Gibbs in Abby's lab.
McGee a busy beaver. Top of his game at work and in personal life (will he crash?). Getting his friends at work to do a segment for his video for Johnny and Morgan's - what? 6 month anniversary of being born?
Gibbs doesn't normally repair relationships with those he throws away (Tony), this time we know he will.
Kevin Pollack!
CAF-POW - the pot calls the kettle black. Abby was drinking massive quantities from the very beginning.
Tobias's weapon. Woo Hoo!
Not cool Gibbs! I know it's your thing but destroying other people's property (or giving something away) is just wrong.
Knew it was only a matter of time before she got caught and knew this was going to be the reaction.
Is Fornell in danger of being dead soon (finds Hicks and Hicks kills him)?
Emily hurt by what her dad did. If she's going to school on her dad's money, how's she going to continue?
She should have stopped with her husband. (It's always the spouse).
Expected that Kaboom! Agree with most of this, except that it should probably go in the 15.14 thread instead of this one.

This is one of those episodes where the case was the B story and the Gibbs/Fornell relationship was the A story and I'm ok with that. I love Gibbs and Fornell together. I appreciate that Gibbs felt guilty because he found out Hicks was guilty as sin. I also appreciate that Gibbs didn't want to tell Fornell because he was trying to protect his friend. I also liked that Fornell was ticked at Gibbs for keeping his secret. And yet he accepted the apology he didn't let Gibbs utter. Loved everything about their story line.
The case wasn't anything to write home about and the weird C story about McGee going overboard on CAF-Pow! to be superdad? That felt weirdly tacked on. McGee gave in really quickly too. So quickly that I really don't believe it... but on the other hand, I really could do without seeing this story line again so... I have mixed feelings about that.
As for the lawyer lady, I appreciate that she did her own digging and stopped representing Hicks. She seemed like a good woman and I'm sorry that got her killed but I saw that explosion coming a mile away.

OMGosh, Hari! you do know me so well!
I was just thinking, "ahhhh, geez! another 'KaBoom'?!" π poor Jessica! π I really liked her...
this episode was o.k., but I thought the McGee Caf-Pow "intervention" scene was a silly waste of time...
other than that, I'm workin' myself up for Part 2 of this storyline; I've got a doozy of a "critique" brewing! π haven't done one of those in a while...

nas And I think most here know how little memory fragments get into my brain and I end up looking them up. The whole Caf-Pow thing was one of those and the fragment involved a jealous McGee with a guy from another agency in Abby's lab. Keeping it short, the episode was 'The Ex File' and in a "showdown" with an Army CID geek, McGee at least claimed to down 6 Caf-Pow's a day. Granted he could have been lying and it was 10 years ago, but McGee did seem to down quite a bit of it back then.

With all the talk about Mark, Pauley and dogs, was I the only one who giggled over the street name βBarkerβ? Please Gibbs have a trim, it is distracting.

For me, this was the first homerun of the season. I've been disappointed with the shows this years, for whatever reason. It's not that I miss GG, I don't, but I'm not liking "Jack", they still aren't using Duane enough, and while I think Dietzen is doing a magnificent job as M.E., I find I miss David, a great deal. I like that the old Abby has returned, the maturity level is more appropriate, but the rift that appears to be present between PP and MH is distracting and the story lines have been wanting to say the least.
Here's hoping for a better future.

So I noticed that Torres once again bragged about his physical condition in this episode, just like he did in the first episode with Hicks. (In the first episode, he bragged about his shirt being too tight.) This time Torres bragged while standing in line but it was over their comm line, which we know Fornell was able to find and use. Since they made a big deal about Hicks targeting physically fit people, I'm again wondering if they're hinting that Hicks is going to go after Torres in an effort to stick it to Gibbs.
Also...I'd love to know how they did the explosion scene at the end. It was one long shot showing the lawyer getting into the car while Jack walked away. The car blew without changing angles and allowing the actress to get out of the car before the explosion. So, CGI? If so, it was impressive compared to some of their other CGI fires.

She seemed like a good woman and I'm sorry that got her killed but I saw that explosion coming a mile away. No kidding, as soon as we found out that she wasn't already dead, and was heading for her car, I turned to my wife and said -- "boom!"

No kidding, as soon as we found out that she wasn't already dead, and was heading for her car, I turned to my wife and said -- "boom!" I did practically the same thing. When Jack turned away I said "KABOOM" and then it happened. They've got to work on the camera angle if they want it to be even a little bit of a surprise.
I think the last explosion I didn't expect (other than the PHOOF giving it away) was Paula Cassidy's team.

I think the last explosion I didn't expect (other than the PHOOF giving it away) was Paula Cassidy's team. It was 50% for me. Either the explosion or as Jack is walking away you see our switch hitter rise up in the back seat and subdue her while Jack never looks back.
