Is anybody else actually crying about this? Almost so hard you can't see your phone screen?
I enjoyed this episode until the end and the preview.
This hurts a lot.

I call foul.
Do not tell me a trained MI6 agent doesn't know how to disarm an assailant. His training should have kicked in the moment he saw the gun. BAD WRITING!!!

I thought they might try to kill her off, and with the interviews she's been doing I knew she wouldn't be moving to LA or NO. But this was an awful set up, and unbelievable way to do this. Bad form all around.

I don't think she's going to be killed off. But that's just my hunch.
I did notice that Reeves was conspicuously missing from the preview and he was between the bad guy and Abby.

Even trained law officers know enough not to try and take a gun away from an armed perp. Too many things can go wrong and some innocent bystander might get shot in the ensuing struggle. If Reeves were armed (and it appears he wasn't) he might have had an opportunity to get the drop on the guy. But as long as the perp was pointing the gun at them, he had the advantage. A friend of mine had a martial arts teacher who, when asked if a guy pulled a knife on him what would he do? He responded "I'd take the knife away from him and kick his ass". When asked what if the guy pulled a gun on him he reached into his back pocket, pulled out his wallet and said "here, don't shoot". His point was with a knife you got a chance, but you can't outfight a bullet.

The guy was out of arm's reach. By the time Reeves could have closed the distance, the guy would have shot. And considering the description for next week's episode, I don't think he was your ordinary mugger. I'm pretty sure he knew that Abby would be there at that time (remember the conspicuous invitation to the restaurant?) and he was there to kill her. The 'robbery' was just a smokescreen.

Torres = not only tiresome and unfunny, but arrogant as well... he started out o.k., but the writers have turned him into someone who is intolerable... nas, I really think PP pissed off Mark and the show runners by probably demanding much more money, so they got a brain storm, let's get her shot in episode 1 so that episode 2 will bring in more viewers than the show has ever had. they will kill her off.
same here with the e-mails, Hari, along with the phone calls that I won a Caribbean Cruise for 2 - - or a high tech home security system, etc., etc., etc.! all that "stuff" just winds up in the trash and/or being ignored...
so, Palmer is hittin' up Abby for an invite for the "frozen dinner" - I'm sure his wife Breena would love to know that! obviously the writer is a rookie who doesn't know much about the show's characters... Idiot!!
re the daughter w/attitude: I love when characters overact their part! this one looks like she was aiming for an Emmy nomination for "guest appearance in a series"...
soooo, we got 4 sneak peeks and not one showed LJG & Abby together... will they ? or won't they ?, uh, you know......
nas, I really think PP pissed off Mark and the show runners, so they said we have a great opportunity here, lets get her shot and brought into the ER in episode 1 and episode 2 will have more viewers than the show has ever had, it's going to be the most watched show ever. and she will be killed.

Since we have not seen her apartment yet and we know we are going to, Abby won't be dead, Reeves on the other hand is a possibility. Contracts are often two years so Duane has had that. NCIS wage bill will already be lighter with Pauley gone, Maria probably cost more than Abby's replacement will.

Another episode making a social point, and this time not even trying to hide it. Never been a fan of shows doing that.

NCIS wage bill will already be lighter with Pauley gone, Maria probably cost more than Abby's replacement will. Killing off Reeves - Bad move by production, but they've never used the character well anyway. Good move for Duane Henry, allowed to move on and showcase his talent. This would be the best kept secret up to now. Of course, with him being a minor cast member, it's not surprising his death wouldn't be mentioned.
If this is so, then that makes me like the direction this is going even less. I don't mind Abby leaving, didn't like the method of ending this episode, and even without spoilers, you know she's going to survive whatever happened to her, so no suspense there. To me, just all around poor execution.

I didn’t get to watch the episode last night, but will watch it as soon as On Demand puts it up - hopefully today...
from what I’m reading on the posts y’all are writing, I’m not very hopeful about this one... 😕
social issue commentary? I really hate when the show does that...
Reeves taking a bullet for Abby - and possibly dying? 😥 well, there goes my “eye candy” babe... so, we’ll be left with the increasingly irritating Torres? bummer! 😠
and I guess there were no scenes with Abby and LJG, eh? big surprise!!
more to follow after I watch the ep...

I take it you didn't see the previews for next week. Reeves may have taken a bullet but....
