I have mixed feelings about this one. The actress who played Lily was amazing, not too much, not too little. I'm a sucker for happy endings so I am glad she was able to get with both parents in the end. I loved Ellie getting in Gibbs grill about "rule 10". It's past time he was called out for the attitude. Ellie has grown so nicely from the "space cadet" of her early episodes, she has become a pleasure to watch. Now if only Torres would grow up. There is no need for DiNozzo 2.0. If they had introduced the Ziva connection in the beginning as a springboard to getting into the case, no problem. By implying at the end that she is still around... that is disingenuous. No doubt the Tiva fanatics and conspiracy theorists are in hog heaven. Given the way that CdP left the show, I find it hard to believe that she would be welcome to come back even for 1 episode. Agree. It was just as if the last episode with Tony never happened. This episode ignored that episode as if it never happened. NCIS sorta has a track record of that though.

I agree - I wish that we had seen a little more of McGee's reaction. I did like the fact that when he realized they were personal feelings and interpretations he did not want to continue reading them.

The way she left, she hurt many and she caused a lot of trouble. In my opinion that was highly unprofessional. Considering she did the same stunt with a theater production where she left IIRC 10 days before the opening in what was it 2017/2018?, procedurals should be wary of hiring her.

Maybe the exit episode will turn out a nightmare by Tony who is now in Hawaii running his own team without ever having to call in Gibbs for help. No roll in the hay with his former teammate. Thus no kid foisted on him.

There’s probably an article reporting her walking away (or being let go) 10 days before opening night. The actress who replaced her (Geunia Lumos) got rave reviews. If I can find the article I’ll post it here. I found old tweet information. She arrived on June 27 for rehearsals. She departed the production on July 9. Opening night was on the 19th of July.

This would have been a great story if not for the Ziva stuff and the apparent attempt to turn Ellie into Super Mossad Ninja Barbie 2.0 I half expected when Bishop went into that shack the spirit of Ziva would inhabit her body and she'd come out with black hair speaking with an accent and mangling the English language.
I gave it a D
She truly must be a super ninja Barbie given tne mere mention of her name 5 years after leaving be show has such an ability to trigger people. That IS magic. Tne meltdown on Michael’s Twitter is comedy gold.
