Tonight's episode is proof positive that NAS works for the writers. She's been feeding them our thoughts and opinions and they were all dealt with tonight.
She's a spy!!!

I agree - Mark did a great job. I liked the interaction between Gibbs and Grace. I thought her going into retirement with him was great. But nagging at me was the fact that he confessed to murder and she was not really taking it seriously. If he had confessed to something else - feeling like a bad leader, deliberately mishandling a case, embezzlement I could have seen it. But murder? So in that way they mishandled how great the scenes were.

100% certain the object of Jack’s affection is Leon. Respectfully disagree - It is Gibbs. They are very close, and the camera focused on Gibbs right after she said it.

For either of those Jack would have said 'he'. She said 'they'. The only reason to use a gender neutral pronoun there is to hide that she means a 'she'. It's going to be Kasie. Diona is openly lesbian and I thought one of the articles posted on here said that was going to spill over into her character.

She is lonely, perhaps she wants a relationship with her child, and her daughter isn't ready yet.

First, great job by Harmon in this episode. Some real acting for a change. Also the writers have enough figured out about McGee, Bishop, and Torres that they had their responses to Gibbs' vengeance admission about right. Torres was least concerned (which makes sense for a former undercover agent), McGee a bit more so and Bishop even more. McGee, having worked with Gibbs longer, should probably have been more ready for an admission for Gibbs. It's unusual for the writers on this show to do a decent job with group reactions, but I think they did better than I might have expected. As to the case, we saw this kind of thing years ago with "Officer Shelly" claiming to be responding to a call. The "wife" did much the same thing when she pretended to be the victim of a break in. All in all it was a predictable case (you knew there would be money missing, didn't you?)that didn't detract from the Gibbs-Dr. Grace conversation. And I could care less about Jack and her problem(s). Never have liked the character.

But nagging at me was the fact that he confessed to murder and she was not really taking it seriously. If he had confessed to something else - feeling like a bad leader, deliberately mishandling a case, embezzlement I could have seen it. But murder? So in that way they mishandled how great the scenes were. There are a couple of points I think you are missing. One - she is a headshrinker, not law enforcement. She is bound by Doctor/patient confidentiality and can't do anything legally about the confession. Two - since she is a headshrinker she is more concerned about why he did, or does something than what he does. Besides, she guessed he had killed someone outside of the law, she just didn't know who, or why. And when she did find out why, she ordered a stiff drink. So I do think she took the situation seriously, add to that she made progress in getting him to deal with feelings he's been holding down inside for three decades. I do think she took everything seriously, or as seriously as she could, Three - given his past reluctance to open up about himself. it wasn't until the Peru incident that he really began to talk, and from this, it seems he might have reverted back to his shell and the revelation of his previous engagement and the murder of old Pedro brought things back to the surface.
I agree that the acting between Gibbs and Grace was excellent, the murder case was a bit mundane.
As far a Jack is concerned, I have mixed feelings about placing her in a relationship with anyone in the cast, with the possible exception of Ducky ( I know NAS might have been joking above, but I think they make the best couple.) She could have been referring to her daughter, but she should have a clear understanding of how her daughter feels, since she made it perfectly clear the one time they discussed it. While she and Vance do kind of make sense, he's rebounding so she should know how he's feeling right now, and Gibbs is always a mess, so there's that. Nick is an option, but, it's Nick.
Since I don't like Kassie, and haven't liked Kassie since the beginning, I can't see any attraction there, at all. But then again, I'm not a writer for the show. (seriously, I'm not. Wish I was, would be nice to have the steady income)
I'm probably going to give this one a B, just because of the actual solving of the case, and because B is a Casablanca reference.
