I am more than willing to join the group for the cocktail party, but I doubt I will watch the show while it airs. But I am more than willing to bring regional favorites to the party: prickly pear margaritas, a little CBD oil for those that need lubricating, and the best enchiladas you will ever taste (I can do both vegetarian and meat lover versions......vegans, you are shit out of luck.).
See you in the fall on this one. Just send me a message and let me know what time we are having the party. I will be there.

ooooo, yum! enchiladas & Maggies!! 😋 love your vegan s.o.l. comment!
I realize there’s going to be a time zone difference for many of us, but we’ll figure it out one way or another...
see you on September 24th!!

Well the latest Margaritas that I have fallen it love with have prickly pear juice. They are amazing.
When it comes to cooking with people with special dietary needs I have a hard enough time cooking for my niece, who doesn't do gluten. I honestly don't know how to cook Mexican food for Vegans. Cheese is an integral part of all Mexican food. Well I also don't identify with those that don't eat meat, but I will cook vegetarian. Just not vegan..........it is beyond my cooking skills.

It can be tricky cooking vegan if you are not used to it. In the 12 years I have been vegan I have found ways to make just about anything vegan. Including Italian dishes, and I come from a big Italian family, lol.

my #2 daughter, who happens to be a chef by profession, became a vegan over a year ago, for health reasons... turns out there’s lots of things you can substitute for meat and dairy that works in the vegan diet... I’m glad it’s working for her, but I still need a rack of bbq ribs, a good steak, a juicy burger, wellll, meat - and everything dairy to satisfy my appetite...
btw, dude, not to change the subject, but I notice you changed your avatar pic from “old dude drawing” to the “real dude”... wow!! you look “mah-veh-laas, dahlink”!! retirement is certainly agreeing with you, eh?

My daughter just started following a vegetarian diet (not vegan she will do some dairy). It is amazing how many substitutes there are for meat. I enjoy meat, although now that I am basically cooking just for my husband and I we eat a lot less meat. I am having a little trouble acclimating to cooking much smaller amounts of food. With the new study that was just revealed saying white meat or beef affect your cholesterol the same way I will take a steak over chicken any day!

nas Hey Zsa Zsa, If you ever want to pull daughter #2's strings, ask her why it is that veggies expect other restaurants to have vegetarian/vegan options on their menus but none of the vegetarian/vegan restaurants offer non-vegetarian options (throw in the word 'intolerant' if you really want to get her going). I do caution, do this only for fun, not as a serious debate.

actually, Hari, I was going for the Billy Crystal impersonation of Fernando Lamas when I said the "...dahlink" line to dude...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXydX9p_ZxA (starting at about the 1:10 mark in the video)
that bit has always made me laugh...
and re pulling my vegan daughter #2's "strings": um, I don't think I'll go there... as the saying goes, "I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!"
