@ llyan or anyone else in the know .... which episodes were originally supposed to be part of last season? Was Head of the Snake supposed to be the end of last season or the beginning of this one? I thought Arizona was one of the best episodes in a long time and am glad they inadvertently ended on such a high note!

@ llyan or anyone else in the know .... which episodes were originally supposed to be part of last season? Was Head of the Snake supposed to be the end of last season or the beginning of this one? I thought Arizona was one of the best episodes in a long time and am glad they inadvertently ended on such a high note! The only episodes that I think can be 100% confirmed from last season was the 400th episode and last week's Tim and Delilah episode because they were both in pre-production for that one when they were shut down (based on a few interviews with Steve Binder that he gave when production looked like it was coming back.) I can't confirm that the episodes up until now were meant to be the ending for last season but it seems like a natural cliff hanger that were re-tooled slightly given their circumstances. If I were to guess, I would say that it would have been: 17x21 - Everything Starts Somewhere 17x22 - Sunburn 17x23 - Sturgeon Season 17x24 - Head of the Snake And instead of catching Merriweather so quickly, the cliffhanger would have been Gibbs shooting McGee and Bishop's unknown fate. The premiere would have been with McGee in the hospital and the team tracking down Merriweather/finding out Bishop wasn't dead. But that's just how I would have done it based on what was presented.

So, after what, a month+ off, we get a double, then another episode, and already another week off? I know they have far fewer episodes this year, and filming has been affected by those stupid california rules... but it seems like maybe they are gonna try to stretch this so there is an actual May sweeps this year?

Yes I agree the cliffhanger would have been Gibbs shooting Tim and the plane exploding. Thanks .. this was kind of my thought process as well.

I noticed the next episode is Feb 9 as they are skipping this week. Then I noticed this Tuesday is groundhog day. That led my twisted mind to the thought of an episode with Gibbs going through the repeated day thing. First, you'd have the normal day with a new case coming in shortly after he arrives. Day ends, next day comes, Gibbs walks into the office and immediately tells the team he wants an update on the case from the previous day. The team naturally has no idea what he's talking about and he starts getting angry with them, then the case he's talking about comes in and everyone is baffled since the victim is the same name he was yelling at them about.
And that's as far as my mind went with it.

I don’t know about you all, but I have quit watching a show/series when they play “scheduling games” like NCIS is doing this season... it really is hard to keep up with what’s going on - or even to maintain interest in the show when they keep playing re-runs (even some from previous seasons!)...
NCIS was driving me long ago, bob, that’s why I’m a “former fan”...

oh, I realize the show isn’t to blame, kate, and this isn’t a normal situation for many shows/series due to the CV-19 crisis...
nevertheless, the screwy scheduling and re-runs has got to be annoying and frustrating for you regular viewers - and fans...

At least these repeats
2/16. Everything Starts Somewhere OAD 11/24/20
2/23. Blood and Treasure OAD 12/08/20
Aren't Ziva centric which most of the repeats have been.
