yes, trimming & raking & weed whacking is very tiring for a doggie, too, kaschu...
OMGoodness, Theo really is a very good looking boy!! looks like he’s growing fast - soon he’ll be filling the entire bed... eta: with those ears, he’s gotta’ have excellent hearing! 😊

What a sad little face. Hope that he learned what he needed to learn.

Some days the BEAST gets so hyper excited that he just can't calm down. Constant Zoomies with barking. Something he learned at DayCare. Once the "jail cell door" is closed he curls up and goes to sleep, normally. This time he just leaned into the corner and looked pathetic. His sentence was 15 minutes the door opened he stayed sleeping but had option to leave.

when Buck gets hyper he does that thing with one of his squeaky toys in his mouth where he races up and down the hallway from the great room... the great room floor is tile so he can’t stop - he just slips and slides to a halt...
I’ve tried a couple of times but, unfortunately, I can’t successfully post the Google videos [here on the blog] that #2 sends me; apparently google videos can’t be opened without an account... 😕 (I don’t know how I managed to do it, but I finally got them to open for me...)
it’s really hilarious to see this hundred pound white fur “cyclone” in action! he runs up & down, up & down, sometimes dropping his toy along the way, stoops to pick it up on the run, and then keeps going... he does this until he totally exhausts himself... #2 just let’s him expend all that energy... no “jail cell” for Buck - a crate for a dog that big would take up quite a bit of room, I imagine...

hey y’all
this is an afterthought - and a test... I’m trying - again - to post a google video; this is the one I mentioned in my previous post where Buck is running up & down the hallway with his squeaky toy “Pig” in his mouth... if any of you have been successful in opening it, I hope my goofy Grandoggie makes you laugh... here ‘tis: drive.google.com/file/d/1Q_ftnCbL2GV9_V4fJsdr-0QJF_A8H5KS/view?ts=612186a9nas

I am sorry to hear this. I hope your fur baby stays comfortable and you enjoy the time you have.
My yellow lab Nova, who will be 12 this month was also diagnosed with a "rapidly growing" thyroid carcinoma last month. I have an appointment next Saturday with a vet specialist but considering her age we all agree we will not do any aggressive treatment. She is happy and loves life so we will just love life with her. But it does not get any easier, I have had to say goodbye to dogs in the past and it hurts just as much each time.

She spends a lot of time under the kitchen table either lying or sleeping and sometimes she looks a little pathetic. To make sure she is okay I call to her or walk over to her and pet her and she just walks to the other side of the table. That tells me she is fine right now. I really don't know how much time we have. Sometimes she sits with me on the sofa. Or I have found her sitting in her different spots she has claimed since we moved here.

This is Maggie’s “you won’t let me do anything fun” face. Meaning, she can’t eat my dinner, lick her paws, or her butt, or eat dirt.

Maggie is such a precious girl...
and just why won’t you share your dinner, “Auntie ballerina”? a few bites wouldn’t hurt, would it? (maybe if you shared your dinner she wouldn’t want to eat dirt! )

nas Lol, I made a huge salad including very hot peppers, and a tahini dressing not something she would enjoy. I did cut up cucumbers and apples for her though. She apparently didn’t think that was enough.

@ kate...
thanx for the update on your fur baby “Tiger”... it sounds like you are making whatever time she has left very comfortable, and that she is much loved... I’m keeping good thoughts...
@ luckysmom... I am so sorry to hear about “Nova”... 😕 I’m sure she’s had a good life with your family and you will love her - and miss her - forever...
indeed, saying “goodbye” is so hard... 😢 tho I only had one dog of my own, I still miss my beautiful, funny Weimie “Drell”, and he’s been gone for decades! I still find myself thinking about the crazy things he used to do, and the thought of him makes me smile... of course my Grandoggie “Bowie”, who was taken too soon, will be in my heart forever (the hardest part of that is I never really got to say “goodbye” because it happened so suddenly)... I’m keeping good thoughts for you, too...
to all my “fur baby buddies” nas
