Chris Agos (Captain Noah Finch)
In Philly Captain Noah was a famous children’s show host. Could the writer of this episode be from here?

SERIOUSLY ?!? another KABOOM!! 😖 I’m beginning to think the NCIS writers have an unhealthy fixation with explosives... 🧨
the mother-daughter relationship was not amusing... Delilah was characterized as b@tsh!t cray-cray - and “Judy” was portrayed as the kind of older female who gives us other “silver vixens” a bad name... I got a headache just watching them interact...
my post (a few episodes ago) about the McGee family moving out of DiNozzo’s bachelor pad because the twins are school age now, was addressed tonite... somehow, magically, that one bedroom condo has become a 6 room dwelling - with a few more bedrooms and a nice large dining area... okaaaaay...
I must admit that I actually laffed out loud at the scene with Palmer down in autopsy dealing with the voice recognition on “Bandium”... 😂 been there! how many of you have the same problem? unfortunately, that 1 minute scene could not save this episode for me...

Two weeks off I see, for those still watching. No Thanksgiving episode, will they do a Christmas one?

Somewhat disappointing episode. Wasted an appearance of both Margo and Patricia with a weak story and bad writing.
I did like how Parker embraces technology as opposed to Gibbs beating it with a baseball bat, although I do like Gibbs approach to tech personally. And I liked the end where Parker was messing with Torres, and Nick seemed to start coming around to Parker. I hope they don't rush that, but keep it a slow progression.
There were a few things I liked about the story, but a lot I didn't, and I won't go into detail, but I do think they could have, and should have, done a better job with this one.

aw c’mon pdsmith, please go into detail...
you always write such good reviews in great detail when you like the episode... I would really like to read the “flip side of the coin” this time...
it would be nice to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t care for what the writers are putting out, and why you feel that way...

The episode was okay, a bit lighter, a bit entertaining.
The atmosphere with Parker reminds me of the lighter, happier even joking of S1. I miss that.

I liked the relationships of the regulars. How Parker is trying to fit in, Jimmy’s pep talk with McGee, and the varied reactions to the new tech. I would probable be Torres, ( Don’t own a chill phone). Didn’t Ike the crime of the week plot. Patricia Richardson guessed on Tim Allen’s second series a few years ago. Either she has aged a lot since then, or they did a great make up job to make her older.
This season has been somewhat uneven, but I like that their showing us how the new team is trying to work together LA and New Irleans replaced people faster,,and I thought for the most part after a episode or two they acted as if everything was perfect. I hope this growing together last longer.

There's enough negativity on this board, adding to it isn't what I want to do.
However, to satiate your curiosity, a little, I'll give one example of what I didn't like.
The death of a family member is a major life event for the survivors. Yet we heard nothing about Delilah's father's death until seemingly months after it happened, if not a year or more. While I enjoyed seeing Patricia and Margo together, the story was poorly constructed and written. Killing off the father just to show us the mother/daughter relationship could have been done differently and better.
That's one.

Explosions are definitely being overdone. I'm guessing that's the only thing the writers consider to be exciting. The case wasn't that great and neither was the mother in law. I admit, for a while I thought Parker was going to be asking her out (no more against the rules than McGee interrogating his own relative). They did work in some small things I did like, like McGee asking if Parker had been married - the reason for this is I believe Fornell already told Gibbs that, but they didn't automatically make the team privy to what Gibbs was told when he was nowhere near everybody else. They also had a major mistake at the end when they were confronting the Captain - he was all set to put out to sea, yet the containers of toxic waste were still right there in the hold of the ship. No way is that ship leaving port with that stuff.

nas no I posted a tweet about the episode. It was a neat vfx thing. But apparently the link broke. I'll fix it later. It's a busy week for me. I have two submissions going in, so I may not have time to post until this weekend. It wasn't the strongest episode but there was still a lot to enjoy. Edited. The tweet (plus another one) should be showing now. The same company apparently did the vfx for the finale when Gibbs' boat blew up. Unfortunately they don't have a video for that one.

Another mediocre episode. Always like when they add Delilah to the cast (good actress/good role) but the children seem to be missing. They make reference to them, but you don't see them. No evidence of children in any of the rooms we see (no books, no clutter, nothing). Not much of a plot, but I liked the mother (and did you notice how the mother/daughter hair styles were almost identical). Wife and I figured out the bad guy fairly quick (which is not a good sign about the plot). Am beginning to like the interplay between the characters in the squad room and find Gary Cole is reminding me of Gibbs back in the first couple of years (less brooding, more smiles). I can see the gag about which golfing iron an ex-wife used on Gibbs being replayed more with Cole than with the Harmon of the last several seasons.
