I finally found the BEAST a day care so he could play with other beasts. He goes on Tuesday as Special Needs students go to the place on Tuesdays to learn about animals and work with them. I've been told that Vinnie loves them he lets them throw the ball for him... he brings it back to them and after a bit changes students making sure everyone gets a chance to play with him..... Vinnie is sitting by the gate waiting for me to leave so he can have a good time....
I need to not stay up late and read posts after midnight. My first time through I read that he goes on Tuesday AS a special needs student (and understanding how absurd that is got me to read a second time). 😺😺😺

love that flyin’ leap Buck and Ludo take off the steps from the deck!
o.k., “hellos” are over - - now, let’s run! 😄
btw, this is how Maxine is handling the “news of the day”:
turn off the t.v., read the latest issue of GQ magazine, and enjoy a double-shot cocktail…
cheers! nas

Poor baby! He looks soo cute with his emotional support animal 😍 My cats have little coats too since they want to go outside despite it being cold. Without one you can see them shivering. Candy promptly forgot how to walk when wearing it and just sat there. Teddy walked but was very unhappy. Kelley is too small for the coat so she must stay inside until she's fully grown and fit into the coat.

Not all that cold here yet, though it did snow on Halloween but was gone the next day. When there is a real snow that sticks around (which I hope doesn't happen until October), I clear the snow off the back deck and when I cook on the grill I'll let George out with no leash, knowing he won't set one foot in the snow. He's never needed a coat, just lets me know when he's had enough and wants in. Sometimes I finish cooking before he's ready and I'll have to resort to asking him if he wants dinner.

wow! no leash?! George is a very good boy! apparently he knows better than to run off; he enjoys his good life right where he is! 😊
and soon, he’ll be able to sit on his pretty Christmas tree skirt, won’t he?

Buck has a ritual…
#2 wrote: Buck loves our neighbor’s grass. Every time we walk by his house he wants to wiggle around in it. I forget what kind of grass it is but it’s really soft.
of course, when they got home he has to be “de-leafed”! a “mommy’s” work is never done… 😊

apparently doggies feel the same way as we do about Daylight Savings Time…
I really needed a good laugh today, and this did it!

Not only doggies, my cats share that opinion!

Buck’s play-pal J-Roc moved away last year with his mommy and daddy to a big house on 10 acres of woods… so yesterday he and #2 went to pay a visit… there’s lots of space to run and run and run - and to just laze around…
and a barn for Buck to check out… it was nice to see J-Roc, but it’s good to be back with his BFF… Buck said: “Home Sweet Home” “Home Sweet Duck”
livin’ the life! 🥰

We had to say goodbye to Nova last Thursday and let her go. She was 14, we had her for almost 10 of those years. Her poor back legs were so weak she was having trouble standing and walking even in the house. Through it all she was still so much herself - loved meals treats and going outside. She rarely got upset or flustered with falling. But I was afraid to leave her or that she would be seriously hurt. Smokey is 12.5 - but we have had him since a 10mo puppy. They were such a great pair! The day I called to make the appointment for Nova the vet called me back to tell me a growth I had removed from Beau was a grade 2 sarcoma. We are watching that and hoping he does not have a recurrence. A tough week in pet ownership.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Since I went thru this myself this year, I know how very hard this decision is.
