the first link I posted wouldn’t work anymore, so I replaced it using the Vanity Fair article instead…here ‘tis:www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/12/michael-weatherly-sexual-harassment-settlement-cbsthe accompanying picture of MW makes him look exactly like the person who would be accused of what the actions in this case were, imo…. 😝also, this whole episode happened back in 2018! why on earth did CBS keep this guy on their payroll after that - and why, after 6 years, do they want to do it again with another series?! go figure! 🤷♀️ nas That’s my question as well, when I read what exactly happened on set, it was worse than what I had initially heard. I was surprised that the show lasted multiple more years after this happened, I agree why bring him back.
screenrant.com/bull-show-eliza-dushku-sexual-harassment-set-response/
this is another article I remember reading.

so, they fired ED, paid her $9.5mil - - and kept the pervy one!!
I actually remember back when that happened I thought, “Well, that SUX!”… 😡 it still sux today - 6 years later!
MW should not be rewarded for that kind of behavior by giving him another show! other actors have lost their entire careers over sexual behavior like this - - why not him?
I should actually be boycotting any CBS shows/series because of this - their response to the situation is unacceptable!

I agree, it very much feels as though he is being rewarded. I also feel as though CdP is being rewarded with this spin-off. She didn’t exactly leave on a good note, or with much notice. I remember the show had to scramble to replace her. While CdP’s behaviour wasn’t near as bad as what MW did, she still doesn’t deserve to be rewarded with a spin-off, or for her character to get the ending she wants. I almost feel as though TPTB are putting more effort into Z’s story than characters who are played by cast members who gave proper notice they were leaving.

Thanks for the synopsis of the show, nas.
Yeah, it sounds pretty silly and unappealing to me also. "Can they trust one another?....." Oh, please. Sounds more like a bad soap opera.
I'll probably tune in out of curiousity. But I have pretty low expectations about this thing.

I don’t know why I keep coming back to the subject of this series, that I never plan to watch, with two of my most unfavorite people on t.v. - but it is soooo worthy of comment!
I think I’ll stop beating the drum after this - I’ll have said all there is to say…
so, the press release for the series says:
…As the Paramount+ series opens, Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, together. But when Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, trying to figure out who is after them — and maybe even learn to trust each other again? — so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after. ….
um, excuse me? “learn to trust each other…”? not that I cared for DiNozzo at all, but what did he do to lose what’sernames trust? wasn’t she the one who lead everyone to believe she died in a fiery explosion only to return years later? if that isn’t deceitful and untrustworthy, I don’t know what is…
all the while he’s left his job to raise a child he never knew he had (that stupid story still irks me 😠), while she’s out there somewhere doing who knows what!
imo, she’s the only one of this goofy duo that needs to be trusted again!
o.k., you get the picture, I’m done now - or as I usually say… There - I’ve said it!!

I wasn't around these forums when that Tony exiting the series debacle was aired. But I agree -- I thought it was a stupid way to write him out of the series. I was hoping he'd either retire and maybe spend time more time with his dad. Or head up his own team wherever that might be.
But NOOOOO....he had to leave because he had to raise a Tiva love-child that none of us knew or saw before that particular episode. Ugh. Absolutely hated it.
And completely agree that the one who shouldn't be trusted is Ziva. She faked her death and didn't reach out to let anyone know she was alive. And expected people just to go looking for her? How about telling Tony, you know, the father of your child? Double ugh.
So they are supposedly chasing over Europe to find out who wants to kill one or both of them. So they are dragging the daughter with them? Or...remember how I said it was resembling a bad soap opera? Maybe they will SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) the kid. They'll make her late teens/early 20's mini-Ziva. Oh you might laugh and/or facepalm at that -- but I wouldn't put it past these writers.
More I hear about this, the more I think it's gonna tank massively.

“More I hear about this, the more I think it’s gonna tank massively.”
Does it make me a bad person if I am hoping it actually does tank massively? I know it sounds mean, but I kind of just want it to crash and burn. Part of me feels bad for saying that, part of me doesn’t though.

nah, I don’t think it makes you a bad person, ballerina it’s not as if you’re wishing bodily harm to come to them or anything like that…
if it actually does air in the 2024-25 season, it’s gonna’ be interesting to see how big a viewership it gets… if it was being aired on CBS it might do well, but how many of those Tiva “fanatics” are out there already subscribing to Paramount+ OR are willing to sign up and spend the $$ just to see the show…. 🤔
so, as they say, “film at 11!” - - or whatever time it’s on!

Now I hear that She may be appearing in an NCIS episode to help launch this new show. I’m still puzzled how NCIS will be involved in this spinoff when neither work for NCIS. Or are we going to find out that she’s been working for NCIS Paris? Which would really be “jumping the shark” after all the crap she’s done. Or please don’t tell me that the person involved with Tony’s security firm is on NCIS’ most wanted wall. Should we be looking at the wall for a new #1? Or if Jimmy’s involved is the body a former employee of Tony’s?
I think I’m going to throw up!

How nice for CdP to come back once again in such a big way over a decade after she walked away in the 11th hour. 🤦🏻♀️🤮🤢 For three years Ninja girl was just MIA, then believed dead for three years with no reason to believe she was still around. Then for the last five years she has been MIA again.
I just can’t at this point.
Also, I truly feel bad for the new cast members. I can’t imagine working your backside off to keep the show going, and make your mark on the show, then having to stop everything to pander to someone who left long before you were part of the series. At this point, the only characters that were there with MW & CdP are McGee & Palmer. Why should the new cast have to deal with this story?
Sorry, I know I am saying things I have said before, but I just can’t anymore with this show. The lengths TPTB are going to just to pander to CdP is just mind boggling. She was not there the first two years, that was Caitlin. Then she left after season 10, without much notice, & the show was left scrambling. Emily stepped up & did an excellent job as Ellie. CdP/Z has been almost completely irrelevant for 11 years at this point. It’s disappointing that so many cast members that have come & gone were given either subpar, crappy, or permanent goodbyes. Even MW, & I am not a fan of him at all. However, CdP walks away in the 11th hour, & TPTB are stopping at nothing to make sure she gets what she wants, a “happily ever after”. All while they glamorise an unhealthy, toxic, & abusive relationship/ person to their fans.
Truly disappointing, to see the direction this series has gone. Especially since they could have given Ninja girl a different ending, quick & to the point. Like how “Bones” did with Zack. Yet, they are doing this, 🤦🏻♀️🤮🤢
Sorry for my rant everyone , but I just can’t anymore. Bringing NCIS into the spin-off, the characters who never knew them, forcing the cast members into this insanity, is just ridiculous. Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if at some point pandora’s box will open & cast memes past & present will start talking about what they REALLY think of this insanity, or just the show in general. It’s happened in the past, I can’t help but think it will happen here, & that when it does it will be a domino effect with more & more people speaking up. Sometimes all it takes is one person to say something, then everyone else starts to as well.
Again, sorry for my rant everyone , but I just can’t anymore.

Ballerina… you said what many of us feel.
I’m now wondering if the Arc Wilmer mentioned before the season is the beginning of NCIS: TIVA. UGH!!!

don’t apologize, ballerina! ranting is way better than having your brain and I agree with every single word you wrote - 💯 percent! I really don’t know why the creators of NCIS and CBS are so determined to re-create/return this pair that you so aptly describe as “unhealthy, toxic, & abusive”… the obvious answer, of course, is it’s a “money grab” from the established “cash cow”… that is, after all, their entire raison d'être - making money!
however, as I wrote in an earlier post, I am still curious about this spinoff’s success with it being offered to a select subscription audience on Paramout+, and not to the wider audience on CBS… will it be renewed after the first planned 10 episodes? 🤔 that remains to be seen…

You all have pretty much covered what I was going to say. And I agree with all of you. This thing sounds almost like an April Fool's prank.
As I think I said earlier, the more I hear about this show, the more I think it's gonna bomb. Bigtime. I don't think there are enough Tiva lovers to carry this empty husk of a show concept to make it last past a full season. I usually try and watch something out of curiousity to see if some of my preconceived notions were valid or not. But I think this time I will just skip it.
About the only thing I would say is good about it is seeing two old NCIS regulars show up once again. But other than that bit of nostalgia, I don't see any other redeeming quality about it. Makes me also wonder who thought it would be a good idea to greenlight this project.
I'm out as well.

The Tiva advocates are similar to certain alphabetic groups that I'm not trying to bring into the discussion in that they are a VERY vocal minority that uses social media to make others think they speak for many more people than they actually do. It's been a while, but I seem to recall hearing about them harassing MW's wife because they thought he should be with CdP in real life. If I'm remembering correctly, then I have no idea why MW would work with CdP again and subject his wife to that.

you remember correctly, Hari… why, indeed! 🤔
I don’t follow MW’s life, but is his wife still with him? between the “Tiva fanatics” and then that, um, episode on the Bull set involving Eliza Dushku, I don’t know if I’d stay with that guy! just sayin’…
