@ pd
I hear what you're saying about it not being the character's fault, but the writers... but in either case, whether it be in the script or an ad lib by Jennifer Esposito, it was just wrong! that type behavior [when eating out - anywhere] is simply unacceptable, and as I said in my previous post it's classless!
It wasn't an ad-lib. It was clearly scripted, since it is a two angle shot, with the first shot the camera is set behind Bishop and McGee, facing Quinn and Torres. The second shot the camera points at the waitress and customers. That takes planning and set up, plus time to be showed on air, which must appear in the script to be planned and figured into the edit.
(Just a note: The shot of the waitress and customers had to be the last shot of the day in that location, since the stars weren't in the shot, just the background playing the waitress and customers, which was great face and exposure time for them. This allowed the stars the chance to shot their part then leave to shoot something else, while the crew got that last shot for that location. Did this once myself several years ago. After the cast was dismissed, the background worked another hour and a half to two hours to get a crowd shot in a church. Very looooooooong day/night.)

Continue being yourself, Nas! I'd miss your frank posts.
Away from home tonight so no "A Few Notes".
But so far I like the main story. (have a feeling Torres & Quinn are cheating)

ewwwww!
if that's true, then they deserve each other! he's becoming more insufferable every time he opens his mouth, and she's simply unwatchable looking like something the cat dragged in... great combo!

ewwwww!
Not that type of cheating. She's talking about the marathon training they are doing.
And in case you're interested...
Quinn cheated, but claims Torres really did run that fast.

Okay, I liked this episode. Finally saw a side of Torres that made him look emotionally attached and human.
The story was good, the flow of the show moved well, kept me engaged, and with the exception of the killer being introduced early in the episode, I enjoyed it very much.

Oh, o.k., seldon... between Torres' mumbling and Quinn being an audible witch & a visual "hot mess", I guess the point NewBe was making went right over my head...

Well, NB wasn't overly specific about her reference. If I hadn't seen the scene and had the similar thought, I might have come to the same conclusion.

Yep. I meant cheating on the marathon training. She was - but just messing with McGee & Bishop (yeah right, only confessed when she got caught).
Definitely find it unbelievable Torres, after eating breakfast, could just run a marathon and pass and beat Tim & Ellie. I'd be puking my guts up if I tried to run after eating.

well, now we have "wonder boy Torres" - who is also "mysterious"!
I don't know much about the "eating before" thing, but I knew marathon runners who pee'd blood for 2 days after they ran 26 miles... oooooo - ouch!

If Quinn lied to begin with then we can't trust her to tell the truth about Torres actually running that fast. For all we know he was in the Uber ride with her.
I did feel bad for Torres over losing a long-time friend and possible future spouse. He's growing on me now.
That said. I liked the episode's main story. Laura's story was heartbreaking BUT I'm glad they chose to have no miracle for her.
I liked the opening a LOT. I really thought the Lt was seeing what might be in store for herself not that it was herself and that the PO was already dead.

yes, that was a sad scene between Torres and Laura; WV did a nice job with it... um, perhaps I was too quick to call him "insufferable" in my earlier post, but he was rather annoying in the "breakfast in the diner" scene...
I must agree - that opening was really poignant! a punch in the gut when you realize she was the one on the table being d'fibbed, and her convo with the [already] dead Collins was only in her mind...

Yet you hate that kind of thing when it involved Gibbs and Franks.

But then it might turn out to be one of those things they say then never bring up again - like Bishop being unable to get drunk. It gets a bit stranger once you know the reveal. Even though it was probably doctored up Royal Crown, I did like the cola being Politically Correct.

Have we seen Laura's father before, or is he just an actor I have seen in something else? Was the hospital grounds the "usual" university campus grounds that they often film NCIS at? I was surprised that they did not have Clayton in the diner scenes and running with them, Duane is being used so little and having him compete against Nick, with no need for him being involved in the NCIS case, would have seemed a good time to see him. Season 14 is a bedding in and trying new things season, so I wonder where they will go in season 15. We have titles for 20 episodes now, so only another 4 to go.

Season 14 is a bedding in and trying new things season, so I wonder where they will go in season 15. We have titles for 20 episodes now, so only another 4 to go. John Finn played Marine Commandant Charles T. Ellison in Engaged parts I and II and now in M. I. A. You may also recognize him from NYPD Blues, Dawson's Creek, or Cold Case. His credits go back to 1979.
As to where things are filmed, I know they have a studio and lot somewhere in CA.
You are right about Duane Henry/MI6 officer Clayton Reeves. He is used way to little to be an effective cast member, as I stated on the thread dedicated to him. This would have been a great time to see him with the team. Again, something I don't think GG thought through thoroughly.
