Thank you Tony Dickson for the screen shot of the watch. I was curious it anything else was inscribed on it.

I thought Tony lived in Baltimore given that's where he worked when he began living there.

I thought Tony lived in Baltimore given that's where he worked when he began living there. His apartment in Baltimore wasn't much more than a hovel even when he lived in it and we found out in present day from the episode Baltimore it was fenced off and condemned.

in addition to that, Baltimore is about 100 miles (give or take) from the NCIS Headquarters, so that would have been one helluva long drive to work everyday...

It isn't nearly that far Nas. It's about 40 miles. Granted, that's still a really long way for a daily commute especially given how bad DC traffic can get but it can be done in about an hour.

oops! guess I read the Google maps directions wrong, llyan...
but 40 miles in lousy gridlocked traffic can feel like 100 miles, right?
the longest drive I ever had to get to work was about 20 miles, and I absolutely hated it! the last job I had (at the Medical University I've mentioned in my posts) was only 2.5 miles from home - 5 minutes travel time... I 'd it!!

nas .... I would have had a much better shot at renting a tux or getting the watch engraved on short notice then I would have getting dinner on the table for 10 that quickly... grocery store food prep set up. We be eating burgers or something. I thought Breena should have been there as well. As for Tony, being as I am quite sure the break up was not particularly amicable (after his send off) I did not really expect MW to be there in person or even voice but I did hope for a mention or a one sided Face Time, streaming or something.
The writers were able to excuse Tony from being there by rushing the wedding due to the pregnancy. Just as they were unable to get Delilah's sister in from London, they wouldn't be able to get Tony in from Paris. Otherwise, the wedding would have taken place in the summer as planned, during the hiatus, Tony would have been there, (wedding not part of next season, therefore Tony not seen on NCIS) and next season would have started with Tim and Delilah married.
But with the last episode being a cliff hanger, not resolved until season 15 premier, the wedding had to take place prior to end of season. And while Weatherly is currently bi-coastal, and his schedule could have accommodated a guest appearance on NCIS, either the producers or CBS decided that wouldn't be a good idea. (BTW, that brief appearance would have taken a day to shoot. No big deal for actors.)
I also think the writers dropped the ball by not even mentioning McGee's grandmother and sister.

I agree, eel! how difficult would it have been to add a one-liner to the script mentioning them? you know, I have often thought that 99% of the time the writers treat the characters of this show as if they have no friends, no other family members - - nobody but themselves!
I know Gibbs often refers to the group as "family", but c'mon! there really is life outside of the workplace for most of the people in the real world...
ahhhh, there's the rub! this isn't the "real world" - it's a fictional t.v. show! but it's irritating and pathetic nevertheless...

Actually less than half that. My sister often flies into BWI (Baltimore Washington International) when she's traveling for work.
Baltimore to DC::
about 40 miles Washington, D.C., and Baltimore's Inner Harbor are about 40 miles apart. Many workers commute daily between the two cities, and tourists staying in Washington frequently want to experience the attractions at the Inner Harbor.

yep, llyan set me straight yesterday, NewBe... I read the Google maps directions wrong - thinking it was 100 miles, and not 40...
you know, of all the places I've traveled to in my lifetime, I never made it to D.C., Baltimore or Boston - dang! so many places - so little time...

I was actually just in DC this past weekend, which is how I knew it wasn't a 100 mile trip. (My route takes me generally past Baltimore on my way into DC and at the end of a 4 hour drive, I was counting the miles.) I really enjoy visiting the city. They have so many great museums and memorials. It was a short trip, so I didn't get to do much but I did manage to ride a bike through Rock Creek Park without meeting an untimely end.
I even took a short trip to Great Falls Park, which is where Singer was tossed into the Potomac in the JAG episodes that introduced NCIS. Unfortunately the trail with that bridge was closed to the public due to flooding so I really didn't get to see much of the falls. I'll have to add that to my list of things to see again when I go back next time.
