I've never been able to figure out why they had to have Pride FROM New Orleans rather than an NCIS stationed IN New Orleans.
I think it's funny when people complain about Lucas Black's (Christopher LaSalle) "phony" Alabama accent when he IS from Alabama.
I have to agree. I've been around so many people with regional accents that it doesn't bother me. When I hear or read the complaints about Lucas Black, I have to laugh. His accent isn't that difficult to understand. It's hard to believe that there are that many people with such a narrow range of experiences that a deep South accent is a waambulance trigger. "I think it's funny when people complain about Lucas Black's (Christopher LaSalle) "phony" Alabama accent when he IS from Alabama." that one made me laugh, thanks!!! I've been in many states, if you're not from the state you're in, you're the one with the funny accent. I like Lucas Black, I think he's a pretty good actor.

All this talk about accents reminded me of NYPD Blue's Andy Sipowicz. The character was played by Dennis Franz who is a native of Chicago (Melrose Park actually). Sipowicz was supposed be a NY native, yet people who watched the show wondered why he was speaking with a decidedly Chicago accent LOL. wow, New York vs Chicago accents, you can't get too much further away

Really? Try a Boston accent vs a deep south accent. Or Cajun vs anywhere.

Well, I have been watching Fargo, and it is hilarious hearing folks try to replicate the classic "Iron Range Minnesota accent" dontcha know there then. I give Ewan McGregor an A for effort, but Uff Da, his Scots accent comes out, and the whole effect is a bit strange. I have no problem understanding Lucas Black, and I love his accent (and his smile ). I used to spend a great deal of time in New Orleans for work, and I never ran into anyone who sounded like Pride. Bakula needs more time with the dialogue coach.

The last episode of NOLA has made me think that Pride can officially have Gibbs's "Award for Rogue Agent Stupidry".

And it's only the third season. Impressive.

They are both idiot shows.
Well, that is just my opinion. I have never found either show watchable.

I have only watched an episode once in a while of both LA and NO. They are just not my cup of tea.

Eh, 'Quantum Leap' put me on a Scott Bakula binge. That's why I've been watching 'Star Trek: Enterprise' too.

I tried Enterprise when it premiered. Made it a half a season before I gave up. I really wanted to love it but it was [to me] dryer than burnt toast.

I know of a lot of people who quit early in its original run but then came back to it recently on Netflix and found that they enjoyed it this time. And I know a lot of people who consider arcs in the fourth seasons to be among the best of all of Star Trek. In fact, if you want to retest the 'Enterprise' waters, I suggest skipping straight to the fourth season and watching the Vulcan arc: 'The Forge', 'Awakening', and 'Kir'Shara'. If you don't like those three then maybe 'Enterprise' isn't for you after all these years. I know I tried 'DS9' and couldn't stick with it!

There were hints in the pilot that Pride was a hothead. Telling Vance he didn't need help but telling Gibbs he'd "only punched that CDR once" . Then following up by punching the lobbyist. Not that the lobbyist didn't deserve it. Lol!! There were also hints of trust issues between Pride and Hamilton from the beginning. That being said, I certainly agree that Pride has surpassed Gibbs on the obsession - stupidity scale.
