Well THIS doesn't happen very often.
NBC canceled Timeless and three days later did a reversal and un-canceled it. It won't be back for a regular run but they'll be airing a 10 episode Season 2 during the Summer of 2018.

Maybe they received a lot of letters, e-mail etc. asking that they bring it back. If they received enough that could cause them to change their minds.

Actually I can't remember the last time any network did this..Well THIS doesn't happen very often.

I don't agree with a few of the shows on this list, including Firefly and Airwolf, plus they forgot Star Trek, but: tvline.com/gallery/cancelled-tv-shows-that-returned/
Glad to hear it's going to be back.

Is Firefly the one where people sent nuts to the network to get them to change their minds about the cancellation?

I believe that was Jericho. The series Chuck was the smart one. They targeted one of the sponsors (Subway) and used things like surveys and comment cards and phone calls to tell the sponsor that the show was what got them in the door and buying sandwiches. It worked - Subway went to the network and convinced them to keep the show going and in turn the show gave them product placement in every episode or at least pretty close to it.

Glad to hear it's going to be back. I don't understand what you don't agree with concerning "Firefly"? No, it wasn't "re-newed" for another season, or to finish out it's first season, but we did get a movie out of it. Personally, I loved the series and the movie.
Yes, they did forget Star Trek: TOS.

I am super thrilled that Timeless was un-canceled! It was just starting to get really intriguing at the end of the season but I really loved it for the way it put a spotlight on social issues. In a way, it reminded me of Quantum Leap like that.

I too am very excited that Timeless will be back. I loved how they addressed social issues. I am looking forward to how they will get Lucy and Garcia "leaping" together.

Yes, they did forget Star Trek: TOS. And yet you said it yourself. It didn't return to television. The movie was made by the same people that worked on the series, but the television network had nothing to do with it. The criteria was the television networks reversing their decision to cancel and bringing a series back to tv. It no more qualifies than the Generations and First Contact movies count for ST:TNG. As for the series itself, I've got Firefly on DVD and Serenity on both DVD and Blu-Ray, so no taking my saying it doesn't fit the criteria here as saying anything bad about Firefly.

Got it. I also have the movie and series on DVD.

| Thank you, Seldon. All I could really remember for sure was that it had a one word title.

I need to rewatch the first season again. I forgot a lot of what happened at the end of last year. But I thoroughly enjoyed it too!

I could also probably use to rewatch the last episode or two from the first season. I was a bit slow getting back into it, but it was good. They really should have shot Emma without warning, but I guess they had to be good guys.
