now, that was an episode!
from Torres saying the babies' pictures looked the same as yesterday's pix, to LJG's BIG smile when he saw them, to..... Torres' "rough night" ID photo - that was hilarious! reminds me of the line: "If you look like the picture on your passport, you really do need a vacation!"
then we've got the "grown up" Abby back again - yay!! not missing her "Gibbs x's 5" at all!! it just cracked me up when Jimmy was removing the splinter from her finger, and he said, "You should see a doctor.", whereupon she responded, "You are a doctor!" Seeee! even Palmer doesn't believe he's a doctor!! (I'm glad I'm not alone! )
back to the storyline: what a sad and complex situation... 😕 I hoped that her fiancé didn't have anything to do with it - so glad he didn't...
being familiar with the suicide of a family member, this episode hit a little close to home, and though I realize it was just a story it made me feel very bad for the parents - and the fiancé & and her longtime bff... the acting was top notch...
maybe someone will find fault with this episode, but I can't find any...
oh, btw, I really like the way Team Gibbs (McGee/Bishop/Torres) are working together - and the comraderie between Gibbs and "Jack" is really nice to see... for me, Maria Bello has it all over Jennifer Esposito (imho)...

Oh, boy, more foreshadowing of the new girl's past. Can we just get on with whatever they want to do with her past and get it over with? Don't care for the new girl, don't care what her past problem was. I presume it has to do with the stripes on her back we saw earlier. Get on with it, people. The quicker they do, the quicker maybe she drops out or at least into the background. Another good episode for Bishop. I find it strange that it was "Kate" and "Ziva" but after 5 years it's still "Bishop." Beginning to get used to Palmer without Ducky, but I'd rather have Ducky back.

Showing my age regarding the father, he played the first season of "Remington Steele". Oh my goodness. I totally didn't recognize "Murphy Michaels"! Overall, I really liked the episode. I am really enjoying how the writers are deviating from the "formula" and coming up with some really interesting stories with some good twists. This one was an excellent example. I was pleased that they remembered that Bud lost his leg in Afghanistan (rescuing a small child). However, their uniform consultant must not have been available. Bud did not have his name tag on his uniform, nor any JAG insignia. And of course, Gibbs got to use his old photo :-) .

I especially liked how they got in a plug for a couple of the communities that make up Santa Clarita, with the dead JAG officer and her family being named "Newhall", and the bad guy that was a suspect for a minute being "Valencia". I was half expecting someone to be named "Stevenson", but I was wondering how they could work "Saugus" and "Canyon Country" (my home area) into the mix...

As I said in a previous post, don't be certain the writers remembered about Bud's leg. It's very possible the actor himself remembered it (I'm sure that was a very memorable part of the role) and played the part accordingly.

It was a big story arc for Bud, and Patrick could have remembered it when the writers did not.

Oh, just realized one more thing to like about this episode - Gibbs remembered, without having to be told by his shrink, that suicides are investigated exactly the same as homicides.

Showing my age regarding the father, he played the first season of "Remington Steele". Also played one of the main roles in "North and South" vs Patrick Swayze.

I was thrilled to see Bud limping slightly. It was an attention to detail that's been MIA a lot since Mr Bellisario was ousted.

YAY! NAS liked it! I think it was their strongest episode in years. The cast is really jelling nowadays.
THIS is the Abby I liked and it's rather sad that now that she's "fixed" Pauley is leaving.
