November 6th🇺🇸👍 Do we know yet when the next break will be? Here's the schedule as it stands now: 15x19 - The Numerical Limit - 11/6/18 16x07 - A Thousand Words - 11/13/18 16x08 - Friendly Fire - 11/20/18 (Thanksgiving Week) 16x09 - Unknown 16x10 - Unknown Christmas Episode Wilmer and Emily posted to their instagram stories earlier this week* that they were filming a Christmas Episode (they were in Gibbs' house with a Christmas tree in the window too) and if my math is correct, that is the 10th episode they've filmed so far. That means the last episode before the holidays is going to be either December 11th or 18th. So between the 20th and the 18th that's 4 weeks and only 2 episodes. *It's been a hectic few weeks, so I might be off a week in my memory of when the instagram story was so take this with a grain of salt!

That's weird! I checked for a post from Harriet yesterday before I posted and I didn't see anything. Oh well... here's the current schedule as it stands:
11/16 | NA | Election Coverage | 11/13 | 16x07 | A Thousand Words | 11/20 | 16x08 | Friendly Fire | 11/27 | 15x18 | Death From Above | 12/04 | 16x09 | Tailing Angle | 12/11 | 16x10 | What Child is This? | 12/18 | 15x19 | The Numerical Limit |
I would also expect that we'll see repeats until after the New Year. The first Tuesday in January is the 1st so I'm going to guess that the first new episode will be January 8th.

Since there is no new episode of NCIS on Tuesday because of election coverage...
TCM is airing the BOGART classic CASABLANCA at 8PM ET.
It's listed at 2 hours but it's really only around 90 - 95 minutes...

Well, it looks like my brain has decided to watch the show for the first time since I stopped after S15E2 Twofer in 2016. I caught myself watching the last three episodes of season 15 on Netflix and a few other episodes I missed in that season and I've just finished S16E1 Destiny's Child.
I guess this means this is my next obsession? It must be if my obsessions are cyclical since I spent the last 5 months watching nothing but House. Anyway, you guys might see way more of me now. Also, I have questions:
1) So Ducky is not the ME anymore? Was that a writer thing or something that DmC asked for?
2) How'd Gibbs get away with completely shirking Director duties with the attitude that Vance could deal with it when "he gets back"? Wouldn't the Fed care that one of their law enforcement agencies was being poorly 'directed'? Wouldn't Vance be just a bit annoyed that he was kidnapped for a month only to come back and have to clean up the mess Gibbs made of the agency?
3) What's the consensus on Kasie? Is she liked, hated, or all of the above? I can't decide how I feel about her. It's like she's supposed to be like Abby but at the same time the writers are calling out that she's not like Abby.
4) Does everyone here still like the show enough to watch the new episodes?
5) WHERE'S THE MCRT TRUCK AND HAS IT SURVIVED WHILE I WAS GONE?

Also, I have questions: 1) So Ducky is not the ME anymore? Was that a writer thing or something that DmC asked for? Yes, David requested a reduction in screen time. He lives in New York with his family and has been commuting to California to shoot his scenes (and I thought my commute to work was long!). But as he's gotten older, it has gotten harder and he requested a lighter schedule so that he could spend more time with his wife and grandchildren. If you haven't seen it, in the show, they explain his absence early in season 15 that he was taking time off to write a book and to teach a class on forensics in NYC. His duties were passed onto Doctor Palmer, who is now the NCIS ME, except when Ducky is back to visit. (Even then, Palmer is the lead and Ducky is assisting.) 2) How'd Gibbs get away with completely shirking Director duties with the attitude that Vance could deal with it when "he gets back"? Wouldn't the Fed care that one of their law enforcement agencies was being poorly 'directed'? Wouldn't Vance be just a bit annoyed that he was kidnapped for a month only to come back and have to clean up the mess Gibbs made of the agency? I don't think that Gibbs completely ignored his duties as acting Director but I strongly suspect that he had far less patience for the minutia than Vance. Thus he reached his 'I'm done for the day' limit far faster than his assistant would have preferred!
3) What's the consensus on Kasie? Is she liked, hated, or all of the above? I can't decide how I feel about her. It's like she's supposed to be like Abby but at the same time the writers are calling out that she's not like Abby. I like her! She's coming into her own as she has more screen time. I think in general most people like her. There are little things that show she's not as experienced as Abby and that she's trying really hard (sometimes too hard) to figure out how to do the job and be herself.
4) Does everyone here still like the show enough to watch the new episodes? Yep! I look forward to the show every week. It's the one show I really try to watch live. Any others and I don't mind if I catch up via dvr.
5) WHERE'S THE MCRT TRUCK AND HAS IT SURVIVED WHILE I WAS GONE? It's still around although we don't seem to get the driving to the crime scenes in the MCRT truck like we used to get. It's always in the background of the evidence garage scenes and can usually be found in the background of crime scene scenes.
Welcome back caseyrook!

Welcome back caseyrook!Thank you! It's good to be back. I'd been waiting for my brain to kickstart an NCIS obsession so I had the attention to come back and hang out here. I'm not sure yet if I'll catch up properly with the show, but i'll certainly be around.
