WTHey!?!?!?? Tony has known she’s alive?!?!? Seriously?!? that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!
was there anything remotely connected to Christmas, besides Phineas talking about the Christmas 🎄, as was shown in the trailer?
nas
Well the usual tree and box for the Marines “Toys for Tots” had been placed in the squad room. I say placed loosely, as they did not look like much effort had been put into it. Unless you were a long time viewer I'm sure the box would not have been noticed, certainly not the significance of it. As I download I never get the closing credits, so don’t know if a greeting thanking your service personnel was posted, I know it usually is. Then again as someone who lives in a country where the first airing will be April, I don’t need much Christmas cheer then. Good news since Ari was killed before Phin was born he cannot be his son, unless they age Phin, because he must be too young. Poor kid if he now gets shipped back to his dad, is he even Sarah’s child or did Zahar just use him. Not sure how much of the next episode is going to be given to it.

Weird, why did my quote and reply just “fully” appear under Nas post? Sorry.

For anyone who hasn't watched and wants to read a good recap of this episode: ew.com/recap/ncis-season-17-episode-10/
I was right about not trusting Phin's mom, as she was the real Zahar. And thanks to Ziva's continuing drama, she is now dead, courtesy of Gibbs. So hopefully Ziva will now leave Gibbs alone.
Poor Phineas, regardless if Sarah/Zahar was really his mom, he obviously has known her as mom for quite some time. I wasn't looking forward to Ziva's return, but now I'm really pissed off. If it weren't for Little Miss Mossad's drama, the kid still would have a mother. And Adam Eschel would still be alive as well.
That Tony knew Ziva was alive and they spend time together with Tali is ridiculous. (not to mention this means Ziva lied to Ducky when she told him she didn't dare to get to close to Tali and showed him the photo where she was in the background). But hey, what did I say about this episode beforehand? Worst fanfiction ever, delivered by Gina Lucita Monreal.
I've read fanfiction, though I usually try to stay away from anything including TIVA, but I haven't heard of resp read such a ridiculously storyline. And to make a kid a half-orphan (if we assume that dad is really his dad and still alive) for a christmas episode? Not very christmassy!!

The only thing as ridiculous as writing Ari to be Phin's father would be Adam. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they go such a ridiculous route.

Great episode, sorry so many here will not watch it! Emily looked very hot in the nightclub scene... Does this mean Jethro will adopt Phin? Yeah, they've improved Bishop's wardrobe a lot the last couple seasons. Originally was all oversized sweaters and stuff, now they have her in "work casual" that's actually correctly sized and actually fits, lately with either a properly fitted sweater, a couple eps with a snug T-shirt and jacket, and the correctly sized plain white dress shirts. I'm glad they seem to have finally ditched all the oversized baggy sweaters and whatnot that they used for quite some time after her debut. The next ep is the last with Phin, but I had a bit of a theory. Bull was the only Monday night show last week that was a repeat, and he had a shorter haircut in this Monday's episode... Could they be doing a stealth appearance of Tony for the next ep, like the secret Ziva appearance last season finale? If so, maybe Phin could be adopted by Tony and Ziva since everything seems to be in the clear now. Also, Zahar, Sarah... That was right under our noses since the first episode, they just switched the Z for an S and rearranged a couple other letters for her "fake neighbor cover name". It took me a little bit, but I caught on to the "North Pole" episode title after remembering that beam, clever detail.

Thought it was crazy that Sarah/Zahar just let MNB keep on kicking the North Pole so they would be crushed in the collapse...

o.k., I read the Entertainment Weekly article that jessielee posted for us... it was written by someone who is obviously a fan of TIVA...
from her recap I can only surmise that this “ninja-girl” episode was like all the others revolving around her, i.e., convoluted, unrealistic, and unbelievable!
soooo, after all these years she actually has seen her “baby daddy” and her child, but they are not permanently together because, uh, WHY?
and the lady known as “Sarah” strategically places herself - and a 10 year old kid - in a house across the street from LJG just waiting for the day “Ziver” will resurface? Seriously?
and the final scene we did not get to see goes something like this: Gibbs says, “Hey Phineas, I have something to tell you. There is no Santa Claus. Yeah that’s right! He’s not real! And, btw, your mom is never coming back because I killed her tonight. Merry Christmas, kid!”
wow! what a great Christmas Holiday episode! those NCIS writers are really messed up!

That about sums it up! Like I said before "expect the worst fanfiction come to life"
That's actually an insult to the worst fanfiction ever written. I'm pretty sure that said fic is better than the writing of this episode.wow! what a great Christmas Holiday episode! those NCIS writers are really messed up!
Not those NCIS writers! This one NCIS writer known as Gina Lucita Monreal, who's episodes are/were usually on the weaker side to downright bad if it includes Ziva or Tiva. On the other side are episodes like the 300th one "Scope" or "The Wall" with Bruce McGill - hard to believe they are from the same writer when one looks at all the crappy Ziva/Tiva episodes.

After reading comments about the episode, Im grateful I didn't watch. It’s ridiculous to believe that Tony knew, this whole story is just, I can only think of inappropriate words so I’ll just say utterly insane.

wow, for someone who’s not watching the show any longer, I sure seem to have a lot of input lately! I sincerely apologize to those of you who are annoyed with my recurrence...
however, I just had a thought - or two: all of this “Ziver business” is outside of NCIS jurisdiction, right? all these beatings and killings are not sanctioned by the Feds; it’s just a little extracurricular activity for Team Gibbs, at the behest of “ninja-girl”, correct?
so, how is it that Palmer is performing autopsies on bodies that have absolutely nothing to do with an NCIS case? AND how is Gibbs sitting in the comfort of his own home after killing a woman, and keeping a kid who isn’t even related to him?
in reality, he would have been relieved of duty while being questioned by IAD...
do the writers really expect you, the viewers, to believe all this shite?
seriously, folks, it sounds as if this show has gone completely off the rails...

*** I wondered this myself. Z was an actual agent for 3 years + 1 probationary year. She resigned and left the country. She has no official connection to NCIS.
so, how is it that Palmer is performing autopsies on bodies that have absolutely nothing to do with an NCIS case? AND how is Gibbs sitting in the comfort of his own home after killing a woman, and keeping a kid who isn’t even related to him?
*** Because the show has no basis of reality anymore. Note that it’s been years since the real NCIS hasn’t been involved in a very long time.
in reality, he would have been relieved of duty while being questioned by IAD...
*** Not just IAD but local law enforcement too. Gibbs should be under investigation.
do the writers really expect you, the viewers, to believe all this shite?
*** Apparently so.
seriously, folks, it sounds as if this show has gone completely off the rails...
*** Yep. They went off as soon as the Un-killed Ziva. From what I could tell by the overnight ratings the show didn’t get a bump and dropped a bit in the 18-49 group.

Did not pick up on either of these at all ... very clever!
While I knew that any episode with Ziva would involve drama and a saga, the strongest thoughts I have about all of this is how far it has strayed from the show I watched in the early seasons. Most story arcs, starting with Ari in seasons 1&2 stretched the jurisdiction of NCIS and then went further and further out of their jurisdiction - the Frog, Somalia, Mexico , Mossad.... and the agents were allowed to get away with more and more.

So now do Ziva, Tony, Tali, and Phin all ride off into the sunset together? Is that "Happy Trails" I hear? Yuck!

So now do Ziva, Tony, Tali, and Phin all ride off into the sunset together? Is that "Happy Trails" I hear? Yuck! Oh lawdy. Gibbs convinces T and Z to take Phinny so little T will have a big brother. As ludicrous as the show has gotten with making Z un-dead and deserting her kid I wouldn’t put it past them. He’ll, it went wrong the moment they decided to have the abuse victim fall in love with his assailant. I’m really glad I’ve discovered The Resident.
