I've updated the original post with the press release.
Anyone else notice how everyone is kinda weirdly leaning to the left in the photo above? I looked at it this morning and thought that I was off kilter until I realized that's how they were standing.

WARNING!
Ignore the numbers from Spoiler TV. They seem to have reversed the sneak peaks. I posted in order of sequence from the CBS Press Site, which is chronological. The second one (labeled as Sneak Peak Clip 3) is VERY spoilery, so watch with caution. I'd also ask that until the episode airs that if you want to discuss that clip, please use spoiler tags. (It's the Icon on the end of the posting bar that has the smiley face with it's hand over it's mouth.)

@ brat & llyan...
I know I don’t watch the show regularly, so I shouldn’t even post a reply... however,
{Spoiler Warning - Click Here}
oh for pete sake!! why must they “lose” her? she hasn’t actually made an in-person appearance since February, 2015 (6 years ago!), and she’s only been mentioned on rare occasion... so, basically she was “lost” a long time ago...
at the risk of repeating myself, I really think the writers are desperate for storylines/plots, so they’re resorting to this kind of drek... 😡
I feel bad for you devoted fans... 😕

I had REALLY been hoping they would do their usual method of not getting actively into current events and not mention COVID until maybe some past-tense comment down the road somewhere, but no such luck.
Luckily in this case, it's a short season and they've already gotten 6 "normal" ones in, and hopefully by next season start they can get back to usual.

{Reaction to episode - Spoiler Warning - Click Here} It's not like the death had any real emotional pull. We haven't seen Michelle Pierce since 2015's "We Build, We Fight". She's only mentioned. It would have been a much more painful emotional gut punch if they had killed off Margo Harshman. Especially after the episodes she just did. Not that I want her gone, I wish she were on more. As I wished they had given us more shows with Breena. We could have connected with her and this would have had more impact than it did.
It's too bad, they wasted this opportunity.

{Spoiler Warning - Click Here} When they opened with "Present Day", and then, almost in passing, mentioned Jimmy had "lost" Breena (like they got separated at the mall and he left without her or something), I assumed they would flash back and explain, but NO. I didn't even hear mention of HOW she died, just Jimmy saying that the hospital wouldn't let him in to see her (heck, my wife was in for a week in June for pancreatitis, and I couldn't go in and see her...), and a quick mention of extra bodies in the fridges, due to Covid... So, I give this episode an "F" for killing her off and not giving us a full accounting of it, and a "B" for the case of the week

In all seriousness though, I'm at a loss for how to rate this one because I really enjoyed most of the episode. I just really don't like that they killed Breena.
A few things I liked: - The case of the week was actually pretty good. And I liked that it took the team a little while to find out who was the intended target and their motive. - I really liked Luis and his reaction to all the technology that's new since he went to prison 20 years ago. His gleeful "I'm making doughnuts" had me laughing. The guest actor really did a great job portraying a man who was simultaneously still mistrustful of police, a hardened criminal and a man gleefully enjoying life outside of prison. - We finally got to see Torres' apartment too (although HOW does he afford that place in DC? It's huge, modern and probably expensive as all heck!) We even got a mention of Torres' sister too! The writers finally remembered that she existed.
I really don't like that they went this route for Jimmy with killing off Breena. Although considering that we haven't seen her in six years, it's not really a loss character-wise. But it was nice to have Jimmy be the 'normal' one with a wife and daughter. But like it or not, Brian did a fabulous job portraying Jimmy as he dealt with the loss of Breena.
(I removed your spoiler warning since the episode aired last night.)

I just regret that there is not one NCIS agent with a normal family life. My uncle and cousin served their entire careers with normal families.
