Interesting, three episodes left, two will be with Pam Dawber and at least one with Jack Fisher, then two with the new REACT agent. I wonder which actors are going to appear together in those three episodes?
Unless Gibbs is reinstated in “Sangre” could the accused Lawyer bring up Gibbs suspension as a reason to question his testimony?

Isn't this the 4th investor to steal from Navy retirees, or members? The Navy needs to do a better job of vetting their money handlers.

Writers are getting lazy. This was pretty predictable.

this episode was hilarious!!
from the cyclist “hit and run” crime in the opening scene - that just happened to tie in with the case that Gibbs was to testify to in court... what a coincidence!! 🤨
...to the ludicrous courthouse interrogation - and reaming - of Gibbs, that apparently lead to a “not guilty” verdict... added bonus: the old lady screaming, “You did this!” 🙄
...to Ellie reporting that the 30 million in casino chips was cashed in, and the victims had ALREADY been reimbursed - by the end of the day! SERIOUSLY!? things sure move quickly in NCISworld, don’t they! just like that, the victims get all the $$$$ they lost - no paperwork, no waiting, no nothing - all in a matter of hours! just a knock on their door: “Hello, I’m Agent Jones from the U.S. Navy. How much money did you say you lost in that Ponzi scheme?” whereupon Agent Jones opens a 🧳 containing stacks of 💵💵💵 and “reimburses” the victim...
how freakin’ dumb do the NCIS writers think their viewers are?
at the risk of repeating myself...
😡 nas
eta: why am I watching this show again, you ask? well, blame it on Maxine! she’s a crazy old broad, who just dragged me into her masochistic game of watching cr@p like this that keeps her “grouchy”...

Well.......... Ya know, sometimes that's the best there is to say about an episode. Another mediocre, at best, episode. Things are getting so middling that I'm starting to want to see the new woman who is maybe gonna be a cast member (Maybe? Come on fellas, make up your mind) just to shake up things a little. And that scares me a little. It will help that this next episode seems to have Gibbs becoming an integral member of the "team" again (at least for one episode).
Way back when I was in college (back before they had electric lighting) I took a class in detective fiction. The instructor was a Sherlock Holmes fan, so much of the class was about Holmes and Watson. He pointed out that Doyle wrote 60 stories about Holmes (4 novels, 56 short stories). He said they fit the bell-shaped curve pretty well: 30 were good but nothing special, 10 were either very good or very bad, and 5 were either wretched or some of the finest detective fiction ever written (he particularly liked "The Hound of the Baskervilles," "The Speckled Band", "The Red-Headed League"). NCIS was that way for a long while; a couple episodes were terrific, a couple terrible, and most in the middle somewhere. Well (there's that word again), they are starting to skew the curve way toward the not-so-great end of the curve. Shame, isn't it?

yep! and as sweet as they were, even the scenes with Ruby the dog couldn’t save this mess of an episode, imho...

When the defense lawyer had finished cross-examining Gibbs, and went on and on testifying himself to the jury about how bad a guy Gibbs was, I was screaming at the TV "why isn't that prosecutor objecting like bloody murder???" Then again, she was allowed to sing the praises of LJ Gibbs when she was finished with her questioning, and the hotshot defense lawyer did nothing as well! Do they really think we're stupid? ?

@ 77friar...
I am sure there are those who will say, “it’s only a t.v. show”, “it’s not Reality”, “it’s entertaining”, etc., etc....
but is it really entertaining when a show is so poorly scripted, so ludicrous, that it’s insulting to your intelligence? I, for one, have never been fond of being spoken to or treated like a fool and/or moron... and imho, that’s exactly what the writers of NCIS are doing... 😡
not too surprisingly NCIS isn’t the only t.v. series that is guilty of this... there are several shows that I stopped watching ages ago for that very reason; I got tired of rolling my eyes and thinking, “this so stupid, I just can’t take any more!” shows like L&O: SVU, Blue Bloods, FBI and Prodigal Son are among the many I just quit watching...
to end this opinion/commentary I have to say something I have said a few times in the past: how, in good conscience, can Mark Harmon continue to associate himself with this show? I assume he’s fairly intelligent; doesn’t he sit at the reading table and say, “Hey guys, that’s really dumb!”
and now the show has signed up for Season #19!! all I can think of is, “it’s all about the Benjamins”...

Yeah, both lawyers are allowed to basically run through their closing statements during a question/cross-exam, but the prosecutor objects to the defense guy calling Gibbs "Mr." ?
