Obviously I need my hearing checked. Or my closed captioned thing turned on. Didn't know it was a hooker who "works" at that motel. My bad. Still, considering they cordon off crime scenes, I'm surprised she was able to get such a good look at him. So much so that she could recognize him as a cop when he was in that bar. Then again, it's not like he had much of a disguise.
If that was the worst thing about the episode I would have given it a much better grade. But I just didn't find much redeeming value in this one at all.

Spoilers ahead....
My biggest gripe is that Sawyer murdered a federal agent and it was "ok" because the guy was dirty. No repercussions. That didn't sit well with me.

yes, they pretty much ignored that whole part of the episode, didn’t they, dave? only so much they can cover in 42 minutes, and apparently this particular killing wasn’t all that important… after all, the guy was dirty… 🤨
and then…… BobNOT wrote: and apparently being a member of this particular NCIS team allows you to go undercover immediately without going through the proper channels to get authorization to do so!
also, brgjoe wrote… not only was she able to get a good look at Torres, wasn’t it incredibly coincidental that she was at the motel AND the dive bar to make the connection, so she could tell Wade…
the more I read what you guys are posting, the more I’m realizing how truly unrealistic this episode was… no wonder the grades are 5 D’s and an F!

eta - just an afterthought: if those grades were given to a high school/college student, they would probably be required to take remedial classes in the subject matter… Helloooo - NCIS writers!!

Didn't Sawyer say he shot the agent in "self defense". Thought I heard him say the guy was going for his gun and he had no choice but to shoot him. Unless of course, I need my hearing checked again.
I also have another question. Did they ever find out who/why the car was set on fire? I do remember Sawyer claim he didn't light the car on fire.

I thought I heard, right after Sawyer said he didn't burn the car and body, that "Wade did that"... And, yes, he pled self defense, but that isn't his or Torres' call. He admitted to killing a federal agent, and there are usually investigations that stem from that, not pizza parties

I guess that’s the “judge and jury” part of the murdered agent situation, BobNOT… Sawyer tells Torres it was “self defense”, and Torres says, “oh, o.k. then - that’s cool, man.” end of subject! yeah right…. 🤨

Even though we only saw the instruction given to McGee and Knight, Torres might have been getting statements from people around the crime scene about what, if anything, they saw. Makes about as much sense as Tony being undercover and working cases at NCIS at the same time back in season 4. I give a pass to the unseen girl being at both places since the motel was apparently a convenient place for Sawyer to live while spending all of his time at that same bar. As devoted as Sawyer seemed to be to his cover, it wouldn't be surprising if he did a little 'undercover' work on her. .
