There's a daemon in my house... this is Teddy, she's two years younger than Candy Gimme all your food now!

Almost 24hours later and Candy is improving. We found the tap in the second kitchen works better for drinking. Found some treats in fish form that are small which she had no trouble with. Wet food is still mousse. Cats quite often don't like bowls for water out of instinct because stagnant water can be unhealthy in nature. I've got one of these for my cat and he usually will drink from the spout, but sometimes goes out of the bowl part: It also has a filter in it which gets changed periodically.

Both don't like water fountains, they are all to loud motorwise. I haven't found one that is almost silent so far. Teddy drinks out of the bowl most of the time, though she doesn't say no to fresh tap water. Candy rarely uses the bowl, only in summer when it's too hot. But she usually eats more wet food, so it's not a big problem. Outside there's nothing yummier than drinking from the fish pond...

nas That is her favorite "lying in the way" sleeping position. It will end in belly rubs so it's a daily occurrence. Oh yeah, Teddy is very serious about her treats (and my food)...

this Jeff Koons artwork titled “Balloon Dog” sold in 2013 for $58mil… yeah, I know, some people have more $$$ than brains, but I always thought the idea was funny and his pieces are whimsical… Yeah, and there was a blue one recently on some art fair in Florida. A woman kicked against the pedestal. It crashed from the pedestal and ended up in pieces. Another story claims she wanted to know if it was really made out of balloons, touched it and it toppled over. Regardless, it was destroyed. One should think visitors are more careful at such events. Koons dogs are indeed whimsical, some of his other stuff is the opposite.

yes, that story last week is what started my whole search for a balloon doggie for Buck, jessielee… the one that was shattered was a small porcelain version of the gigantic stainless steel ones that Koons created - only valued at $42,000! I tried to post a picture of it here, but apparently I can’t post more than 3 pictures per post… I’ll just start another post right now to show the picture…
to be continued…
edit: well, I guess I can’t start a new post with the photo - some sort of “forum rules”… anyhoo, the incident in Florida happened at a cocktail party being held in an art gallery; one would think something that pricey would be placed behind glass and not just set on a plexiglass pedestal for some lady who possibly had one too many glasses of wine to stumble into and knock the piece to the floor! kinda’ foolish, imo, but hey, nobody asked my opinion, so…..

Hey all. Nas brought it to my attention that she can't upload a new attachment:
It looks like we've hit our limit on how much we can upload to our forum but as I'm not the Admin of this board I can't tell for certain. I'm a moderator which gives me a lot of the same powers as the Admin but I can't see the 'guts' of the board to verify. I've reached out to Joni to see if she could transfer the Admin title to me.
But in the meantime, one potential fix for this would be for me to delete some of the older Fur Fin Feather and Scale threads that have uploaded attachments. I did not want to do that prior to reaching out to those who were active in those threads though!

I was thinking the very same thing last night after I posted the comment (and PM’d), llyan… later today I can go back to the Fur Babies threads and delete several of my old posts to see if that helps the situation… over the years I’ve uploaded many, many pix of my grandoggies that could easily be removed… so, rather than having you do the clean-up, I could do my own?
what do you think about that?
nas
UPDATE: I just went back to the original Fur Babies thread and deleted a few of my old posts with pix of my late/great sweet Grandoggie Bowie; that is not an easy trip down Memory Lane 😢, but apparently deleting those pix has allowed me to add a picture to a new post… I didn’t post it - but the experiment did work… so, later on I’m gonna go do more “clean up” of my old posts w/pix…
some of you might want to do the same, so we can continue to post new pictures - not only on the Fur Babies thread, but on the other threads that pix are being posted on…

If you need to remove some of my Vinnie posts that are older feel free..... I feel responsible as I started this thread.....
