I wonder why there was no cast list for the episode.

I wonder why there was no cast list for the episode. There was no cast list for Evil Eye either. I poked around the CBS press site and none of the recent releases for any show has a guest cast list. It must be a new policy.

Looks like another episode cowritten by Brian Dietzen.
I know the last one he wrote had mixed reviews (I thought it was OK). So it'll be interesting to see how this one goes. (please don't suck!)

Based on the previews I don't expect to like it. Crazed Parker with a personal vendetta getting violent without provocation and getting no consequences or even removed from the case is not something this show needs. The guy from clip 1 should be pressing charges.

I guess slowly but surely Parker will just turn into LJG 2.0 - a grumpy, short tempered old man… swell! 😝

nas Hopefully, I can be counted among those minds. When I saw the first clip and Parker huffed off and sped away, I expected the team to say... "Did he just go all Gibbs on us?"

I generally liked this episode as well. Almost dropped it a full letter grade though for the stupid stuff Parker was doing at the beginning of the episode. But Gary Cole's acting made me reconsider. Spoilers be lurking down below.. .. ..
Ok, I get that Parker is upset with all that went down with the firefight/arrest of that "W" guy. But it didn't give him the right to be an a-hole and basically act totally unprofessional to his team and everyone back at headquarters. Not to mention, just driving off not saying a word where he was going at the crime scene. I kinda liked Parker in that his character was more low key and basically the anti-Gibbs. But that was a classic Gibbs manuever there. And not one that really admired about the Gibbs character.
We also had that stupid trope of our lead character being so angry at the perp, that he roughs him up in front of witnesses and of course gets himself sidelined from the case. At least there was consequences this time from doing it. That's just dumb. And I can't imagine someone with Parker's experience would do something like that -- even how angry and upset he might have been from past actions from the previous case. Of course he also has to stick his nose into it while being sidelined. You'd think that would also result some disciplinary action as well. But doesn't seem to be the case.
And then we had the silly fight scene at the dill pickle store(?) Just Parker and Torres go in there with no back up. And then manage AGAIN to beat up a bunch of dudes while they were outnumbered and outgunned. Good help is hard to find, indeed. Even for criminals apparently.
Other than those glaring things than kinda made me cringe though the episodes, I thought it was pretty good. I liked the former FBI partner. And really liked the conversation he had with Parker at the end of the episode. Again, Gary Cole's acting really shined through. So I just couldn't find it in me to drop an entire letter grade from this episode. So I wound up giving it an A-.
Oh and give Jimmy an assistant already!

I started to write something last night after watching the episode, but couldn’t decide how I felt about it - still don’t…
explaining that Parker covers up his guilt feelings, for putting his partner in a wheelchair (due to “friendly fire”), with his interest in flowers, hummingbirds, pastries, etc., etc. just seemed odd… but that’s the excuse they used to create this storyline, soooo…
@ brgjoe re your two comments: seems irl (in real life) some LEO’s are not concerned with witnesses OR cameras… 😕 enough said on that matter! 😡
those [oft-used] fight scenes with just two NICS agents going up against a whole gang of bad guys is beyond silly - it’s plain old ludicrous! I guess the NCIS production budget doesn’t have enough $$$ to pay for extras…. (on the other hand, last night’s episode of NCIS: Hawaii had enough backup to evacuate a whole neighborhood just to get the bad guy! that show must have a bigger budget for extras) eta: and, yeah, what the heck is a “dill pickle store”? 🤨 seriously, I want some of what the writers are smokin’!

My theory is this episode was written before Gibbs/Harmon left and they adapted it for Parker and it just didn't work. While I liked the actual character of the ex-partner in the wheelchair, I found it rather hard to believe that we never heard about him before this episode. The story behind it seems like exactly the sort of thing his old boss from the FBI would throw in his face to get under his skin and it's not like that character was given any morals. About the only thing that surprised me is they didn't throw in the cliche of the old partner going dirty and turning out to be the big boss, even from a wheelchair. I'm sure we'll never hear from him again, though McGee might drop his name at some point.
