Ok, was the senator thecrazy lady from season 2, it sounded like her voice. She was definitely the sex-crazed, crazy lady from the season 2 episode Conspiracy Theory. The one that was quizzing McGee whether he wore boxers or briefs. lol Brigid Brannagh.
It didn't appear that she changed all that much - criminal to politician isn't much of a difference and she was flirting with Parker, but a bit more subtly than she did with McGee.
On a separate note, we do seem to be getting a lot of Russian baddies this season. Somehow I doubt the payoff will be all that great, though they could surprise us. To me, the best payoff would be for the big bad to be Illya Kuryakin and at some point Ducky will have to impersonate him. 😺😺😺

a day later and I still can’t think of anything to say about the episode, except that the “crime” was convoluted, as they seem to be more and more lately…
btw, I don’t know if any of y’all are watching the Hawaii version of the show, but that one, too, is getting dumber and more unrealistic by the week! getting close to “idgf” with that one…

I liked it more the second time around. We were definitely introduced to what's probably going to be the season ending story arc, which made the vague and open-ended crime of the week a little more palatable. But it also makes it hard to judge since we don't know where they're going with this plot just yet.

nas When it comes to Hawaii, I was "idgf" from day one. I guess I'm still a little salty for them cancelling New Orleans for that drivel. At least I knew Scott Bakula was a good lead. I watched his other shows. Big fan. I really haven't seen much of Mrs. Nick Lachey tbh. I struggled with the crossovers when it came to Hawaii's part. I also feel that because of Hawaii's budget, LA got cancelled. So it killed 2 shows I spent years invested in. Ever since Legend and that was a lifetime ago. This week's episode was definitely forgettable except for the last 10 minutes. Bad writing. "How's my Dad?" "Couldn't you tell by the look on my face?" Uh, no not really.

Looks like the grades for this one are all over the place. I probably like this one more than most.
I guess one reason is there wasn't a whole lot which annoyed me with this episode. I did pick out one of the people who I thought was behind this pretty much immediately. It just seemed obvious that "Dorothy" was at least involved in some way. Though I didn't suspect bald guy with mustache. Perhaps I should have -- I do remember him being a baddie in more than one show in the past. I did chuckle a bit when they said they called all the names on the list except that last one. And wouldn't ya know it, that's the one that is currently being broken into.
Also just thought it was sure lucky of her to have a big canister of compressed air to fool the superspy guy into thinking they gassed our heroes.
I suppose the biggest problem to me in the episode was the "B" storyline with Agent Knight and her father. I thought somehow it would be tied into what was happening with the main plot. But it just kinda came out of nowhere and ended with no connection (apparently) with the story arc. Just thought it was pointless and unneeded.
I did like the twists and turns of this story. Seeing those people wake up after being "dead" was unexpected. And having this episode tie in with some of the past episodes with those Russian spies was interesting. So it appears we will have some sort of spy story arc appear from time to time this season. If done well, I think this could be intriguing. I mean, 4 embedded spies in one senator's campaign staff? Yikes. Oh and I did think it was funny how she kept hitting on Parker. Pretty sure she will have some secrets to be revealed later on.
So all and all, I thought it was decent. Kinda a filler/setup episode for something to happen later on. Gave it an A-.

It was driving me crazy, so I had to get out of bed, just to check the credits. I actually thought that was her and checked IMDB and they didn't have the guest cast listed... 3-17-23 As of yesterday the guest cast was on IMDB.

One of the better episodes this season. I could keep up with the main plot, which is something of a plus this season. I agree with several others on here that this is the beginning of an arc that will lead to the end of season cliffhanger (it's always a cliffhanger). That worries me because NCIS doesn't do long arcs very well. Could be interesting to see the interplay between Parker and the Senator. As with someone else here, I kept wondering what was going on with Knight's dad. It seemed pointless, unless they are leading in to introducing her dad toward the end of the season. BTW, for those who came to NCIS via JAG. When JAG ended, Catherine Bell (Mac) moved on to a show called "Army Wives" in which she played an army wife (you guessed that, right?). Brigid Brannagh (the Senator) played one of the other wives.

wow!!I’m impressed 😲 and DEpressed 😕 both at the same time…impressed because some of you remember a character and the actress who played her back in Season 2! and also you remember some of the more recent episodes involving Russian spies/baddies…DEpressed because I don’t…. unfortunately my age is showing, but I’ll forgive me because I’m probably the oldest member of this bunch…you know us old folks, like me and Maxine, tend to look at it this way: (click to enlarge) and like I said before, unless an episode strikes me as particularly memorable for one reason or another, I just tend to file it way back in my “memory bank”…nas

Seeing those people wake up after being "dead" was unexpected. It could have been the tank used to pressurize the other tanks with the anesthesia.
The people waking up from being dead looked a bit familiar. I know something like that was done in the pilot episode of The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), but I feel like I've also seen it in something more recent. One additional nitpick - no way would the victims all wake up at exactly the same time.

I didn't initially recognize that woman from a Season 2 episode. I felt she looked familiar. But didn't remember from where. Impressed with everyone who did remember her from 18 years or so ago!
Also wonder how deep this story arc will go. We're already at episode 16. Next week (if my math is correct) will be episode 17. Wonder if this will drag on into next season. Like maybe this year we'll have a cliffhanger to continue it into season #21. (I hope not in that I hate cliffhangers).

Well, I watch the reruns on Wetv and Ion, and her episode was on just recently.

Like jennifer6973 said, her episode was just on a repeat on one of the cable channels. I'm not sure which one it was but I know I saw it recently. I also recognize the actress from other shows. She's been a guest actress on many different shows over the years but I recognize her from Angel, which was the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff.
