Ok, they've definitely aged Victoria up and are hoping that no one notices. There is no way she is close to being a teenager. Jimmy and Breena were only married at the end of Season 9/start of Season 10 which was in 2012. Victoria wasn't born until Season 12 in We Build, We Fight which was in 2015. At most she should be 8 not 13...

I wonder, why do they (the writers) do that, llyan?
do they think their viewers don’t care if they are aging Victoria UP?
they did the same when she was in S19/ep13, The Helpers; if they stuck to timeline/script she should have been around 7/8 - and yet she was portrayed as being a rather savvy, sophisticated few years older…
next time we see her - next year - she’ll be a young bride-to-be, with Palmer freaking out over walking her down the aisle - or being suspicious of her fiancé, thinking he’s a serial killer wanted by the F.B.I. 😱

They did the same with Emily Fornell. I don't have the numbers or episode names, but when she changed actresses her age jumped a few years. As for her fiance, he'll probably be right, given this show's history.

Gotta get up early tomorrow, so no full review. Just one question:
When Parker showed up to autopsy with a mystery pastry, how many initially thought it was going to be from the politician from the previous episode?

yeah, the thought crossed my mind, Hari…. 😊
just a few thoughts about the episode - maybe more later…
~ as we mentioned earlier, Victoria has been aged UP.. the episode description incorrectly referred to her as a “teenager”, but Palmer called his daughter a “preteen”… in either case, if the writers stuck to a true timeline, Victoria would only be 8 or 9 years old, max - so she is neither a preteen nor a teenager… that said, I actually had no issue with Palmer’s concerns as the father of a daughter; I just think it happened 4 years too soon… um, maybe the writers did it now because they don’t expect to get to Season 25… 😉
~ yep, they included a Ka-BOOM just for me! 😂
~ towards the end of the episode I was running out of possible suspects… when it usually turns out to be someone introduced early in the episode, I didn’t figure it was the Pastor or his assistant, and no one else seemed likely… 🤔 so, who “dunnit”?
{Spoiler Warning - Click Here} so I was surprised when it turned out to be her… nasty b——! 😡 oh, oh! almost forgot! ❤️‘d Vance’s “talk” with Palmer - “I’ll talk - you listen!” 😂

I enjoyed last night's episode, especially the end talk with Vance.
Regarding Victoria, maybe the did what soap opera's do and SORASed her for the stake of storytelling. I have no problem with it.

I especially liked Torres acting the klutz, taking a nosedive over something on the floor of the market (instead of hurdling?), just so he could make points with the cute Afghan doctor lady.

They had a couple of Easter eggs in the crushes. McGee's Emily Tisdale probably meant the young actress who was in the remake of True Grit. Knight named hers as Eliot Spencer, which could only be Christian Kane's character from the series Leverage - former special forces, a charmer, advanced martial artist, can pick up pretty much any sport on the fly, knows a good number of languages, and a really good singer.

I thought overall this was a pretty good episode. I had a couple of nitpicks but I still enjoyed it.
Some thoughts in no particular order:
- Well I'm definitely glad that the episode description was wrong and that Jimmy referred to his daughter as a pre-teen. The whole thing wasn't a big deal. But it does show how Jimmy is still dealing with the death of his wife. He made a mountain out of a molehill and as Kasie said, 'cannon-balled into the over-protective deep end.' He lost Breena and Victoria growing up puts him closer to 'losing' her too.
- I appreciate that Kasie and Jess kept telling Jimmy that he was being crazy for being over-protective of his daughter. It was kinda sweet but he really was going crazypants. I kept hoping that one of the women telling him to take it easy would sink in. But I suppose then we wouldn't have gotten the nice scene with Vance. Given that both of them lost their wives and they're both fathers of daughters, it makes sense that Leon was the one to finally get through to Palmer.
- I liked the connection between Nick and the refugee woman (I miss having cast lists with the press releases!) And it was nice to highlight two different immigrant stories. He never explained it to his team but Nick's story explains why he was a 'late-bloomer.' He was still learning English when he was getting to the age of first crushes.
- Man the white nationalist girlfriend was cold. Murdered the pastor in cold-blood and then blew up her boyfriend and his posse to protect herself.
Nitpicks - The NCIS transporters were working well in this episode. They were back and forth to Norfolk in a blink of an eye instead of the 3 hours it should have taken.
- I get that they were trying to give Nick an injury so that the surgeon/refugee could swoop in and treat him, but that stunt was terrible. It was comically bad and not in a way that was funny. They could have done a much better job with Nick's injury.
- Speaking of his injury, I just took first aide training and she did everything right except stabilize his head and neck. They missed that part.
