Gotta get up early tomorrow, so no full review. Just one question:
When Parker showed up to autopsy with a mystery pastry, how many initially thought it was going to be from the politician from the previous episode?
Yep, you weren't the only one. First thought that came to mind for me as well.
I thought it was an OK episode. Not great, but not a lot of stuff that got on my nerves either.
I get that Jimmy is a bit overprotective of his pre-teen(?) daughter. Though if she's 8-9, I also don't see why she should be going out with guys or even a group of girls for that matter. At least not without responsible parental supervision. So, yeah, does seem like they are aging her up. I thought Jimmy's character was written way over the top at times too. Like him yelling about this and that about him being a potential serial killer and stuff. Woah...like, pump the brakes, Doc. Admittedly I did like Vance's talk with Jimmy towards the end of the episode. And did chuckle when he said he wanted to see his daughter's date see him cleaning his revolver. Heh. Vance wasn't in a lot of scenes once again. But when he was he made them count.
Looks like they are trying to make refugee doctor and Torres a thing. *shrug* I guess I really don't care about shipping characters. Most of the time it really doesn't make me enjoy the show more. But it was nice seeing them share their stories about their immigrating to this country. Wouldn't mind seeing her character back.
Though once again, I thought from the moment she appeared on the screen, she was the baddie. I didn't know why. But I felt maybe it was something like she was embezzling funds or something and the dead soldier found out. The white nationalist thing was something that seemed kinda odd. Why would someone like her be working there in the first place? Just to sabotage it? Guess that was her motive perhaps. I did add points to this episode for our heroes ACTUALLY ARRIVING WITH PLENTY OF BACKUP THIS TIME. I just figured they'd send Knight and Torres into a militia camp and they'd somehow fight it out with all of the folks in that compound. So at least this time around they brought reinforcements. And did laugh when those idiots did get blow'd up.
So I thought it was an alright sort of episode. Not a lot stood out but also not a lot of stuff that greatly annoyed me. B+ for me.

So, the first question is "does the Afghan Dr. become Nick's new Bishop or are we never to see her again?" Not a bad episode. As usual, they throw in a couple of random people early and one of them did it. I guessed wrong. Frequently on TV if someone is a pastor, they are the villain. Sometimes that isn't so. Recall the chaplain of 10 years ago (give or take) who was sparring with DiNozzo. I am a bit concerned that a high NCO would be reduced to private and stay in long enough to learn to actually cook well as a Marine cook. Guess it could happen. Having not had a daughter (son for us), I had a bit of trouble with Palmer going overboard about his daughter. Then I remembered standing around some of the girls I knew as a teen (or preteen) trying to keep my mouth closed so I wasn't standing there with my tongue hanging out and drool falling. So, I gave him some slack. BTW, my grandson only seems to have that problem when Katrina Law is on screen ("Put your tongue back in your mouth, kid."). Maybe I should hang around him a little more when there are girls about.

I also liked what Vance said about cleaning his gun as a friend of mine who owns guns but has nothing to do with law enforcement talked about wanting to do something similar back when his girls were younger. I think Vance should merely have worn his badge on his belt without making any gestures to call attention to it. Jimmy could always have Knight over at the time Victoria is being picked up and introduce "Agent, I'm sorry, I meant Jessica" to the kid and hopefully his parents.
