I still miss the MCRT van (reminded by seeing the ME van).
I suspect we're going to see the pepper spray training.
True. "They're not horses, they're cops". (ie: police dogs, Marine dogs...)
OK. That was creepy. Animal skulls.
... after the break: monkeys
I hate that picture too. Abby should too! It's demeaning.
Has Gibbs met his next LtCol Mann.
Why isn't she in uniform?
The horse whisperer.
Well we didn't see that pepper spray. Duh, Torres!
Knows or speaks 6 languages?
It's been decades since I was high but I don't remember being that goofy.
Why was Reeves in the director's office?
Hmmm. Not tit or tat.
Why is Gibbs heading to Abby's lab through the main elevator? Access to lower floors are through the rear elevator.
That's the "rock football" cabin from Sub Rosa.
Sorry. Not shocked.
Wish Reeves would deck Torres!
Yes. Gibbs heard. Shot officer didn't make it.
Stuck up JERK!
Awww.
Just like patrol cars. There don't seem to me patrol officer partners anymore.
Wow! A spontaneous mention of Kelly.
Abby's buddy knew about bush meat because Abby told her. She's been with NCIS for around 16 years so there needs to be consequences. I swear she's lost the ability to THINK!
This is kind of making my stomach sour.
Pot smoking guy.
Torres & Quinn just need to do it [again] and get it out of their system and off my screen.
Somebody spray McGee!
Mark looks great on a horse!
Only one episode but I liked Officer May Dawson.

This episode will win an Emmy, yes, about poor people paying hundreds of dollars a pound for monkey meat to get a taste of home, and agents spraying themselves needlessly with pepper spray which was supposed to be next year, the mistake made by senior field agent McGee. and Abby is now a detective/agent among other things. The horse stole the show.

Amazing that Gibbs opened up about Kelly to a Stranger.... so horses on the beach from when they were living in San Diego, at Pendelton?
Is someone going to talk to Abby?? I mean come on... this wasn't an accidental slip up.... she went out of her way to spill the important fact about the case....

Certainly not Abby's finest moment. Don't know if they'll deal more with the Park Cop, but she was kind of refreshing.

Anyone else think the diplomat was going to turn out to be dirty? I got the feeling it was initially written that way and they dropped it. He avoided giving away the bush meat at the start, then the vegetable guy at the market identified him as a "government man" and when he was arrested he mentioned having an uncle who could hide them, then at the end Vance was acting like he had something big up his sleeve when he told the diplomat he'd be speaking first.
Abby definitely should get some sort of reprimand for revealing the bush meat, but she seems to get away with anything and everything.
They may be cops, but they are still horses. The cop on the horse probably still wants to be seen as a human being, so don't make "cops" a separate species.

2017 May 02 Critique of NCIS episode ‘Beast Master’ by Diane and David Munson
Do you like horses? If so, you will enjoy tonight’s episode of NCIS. The show had very little to do with the Department of Navy, but it was a great way to reach the increasing population who love animals. Given that much of what is posted on Face Book features animal antics and stories, the producers are no doubt trying to elevate their ratings by highlighting horses. While we thought Abbey was the only animal lover on NCIS, tonight’s episode reveals Leroy Jethro Gibbs is an animal whisperer of sorts. Thus the episode’s title of ‘Beast Master.’
Diane found this episode nostalgic for another reason. This was the story of a Marine Corps sergeant who stumbled onto some wild game, or ‘bush meat’ being smuggled into the U.S. from Liberia and stored at a cabin in Rock Creek National Park. During her years as a Federal Prosecutor in Washington, D.C., Diane worked with many officers of the U.S. Park Police as she prosecuted crimes that occurred in Rock Creek Park.
In tonight’s show, we meet Mounted Officer May Dawson, who works closely with Gibbs’ team investigating the Marine’s death and also the death of a mounted officer who was killed by the smugglers. The dead officer’s horse becomes depressed after the death of his partner and refused to eat. Officer May Dawson develops greater respect for Special Agent Gibbs when he is able to console the horse and the horse begins eating once again. Mark Harmon rides off in the final scene, as he is apparently an avid horse enthusiast.
History buffs will be interested to know that President George Washington started the U.S Park Police as the “Park Watchmen” back in 1791. Today’s mounted division serves in Washington D.C., San Francisco, and New York.
Two more shows remain for this season and we wonder if all the team members will finish out the season. What do y’all think?
Be Blessed, Diane and David Munson

tonight’s episode reveals Leroy Jethro Gibbs is an animal whisperer of sorts. Not a new revelation. I can't name the episodes off the top of my head, but previously he Called a dog away from its owner before blowing up the owner's camper (adopted by Kate) Ordered a cat to get in its carrier and the cat obeyed Moved a dog that was hiding under a park bench from the rain into a shelter before sitting out on the bench in the rain himself I really don't see Sean Murray going anywhere, but it doesn't appear McGee will have a smooth wedding. Hopefully Delilah survives it.

I have to admit that I haven't watched many episodes this season, not for any other reason than I haven't been home on Tuesday night for months. Last night was one of those rare nights I was home and watched a very watchable episode. The only complaint I have is why is Mr MI-6 even on the show if the only thing he does is conduct pepper spray tests? I still stand behind what I said early in the season, we don't need him. The bull-pen is so overcrowded he has to exist in the next line of cubicles once occupied by the Sec Nav niece's team.
This episode, while strange (with Abby breaking protocol and MI-6 guy just being a bad punchline), had a lot to enjoy. I enjoyed the 'Gibbs the animal whisperer' elements and hopefully a long term friend for Gibbs.
I am still not enjoying the current cast chemistry, but at least I didn't shoot the TV with Nerf darts.

I agree this one was a very watchable episode. I agree about Reeves. There just doesn't seem to be a place for him. I wonder if this is a result of Gary Glasberg's passing. He might have had big plans for the character that died with him. Now the new showrunners have no clue what to do with him..although I do have an idea...a bareknuckle boxing match between him and Agent Fez with Vance as the referee Abby just irritated the crap out of me breaking protocol like that. I wanted to reach into the TV and knock her on her ass with my own version of the Gibbs Slap. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

I also wondered if Glasberg had plans for Reeves that the new show runners aren't using. I really like Reeves so I hope they come up with a good way to work him into the show.
