did anyone happen to see Michael Weathley on the Late Late Show with James Corden on Monday night, May 8th?
if you're familiar with the show's format, James has 2 or 3 guests at the same time, and they all just sit on a couch and converse...
the other guest was Caitlyn Jenner...
Michael did do his "silly shtick" in the beginning of the show when James introduced him as one of the guests and I thought, "OMG, is he ever gonna' stop acting like the goofy clown?"
but I stuck with it 'cause I was really curious about the "match up" of the two guests...
on the "interview couch" MW talked about filming his show in New York and still having his family living in CA; sounds like "bicoastal living" really sucks! (Jenner, to my surprise, was quite entertaining...)
I think Corden is a great host/interviewer, and that's why his guests look so good on the show...

I like this format (didn't Carson do the same?) rather than "come out, talk for 5 minutes (or less) and go away so the next guest can come on".
the other guest was Caitlyn Jenner...
Michael did do his "silly shtick" in the beginning of the show when James introduced him as one of the guests and I thought, "OMG, is he ever gonna' stop acting like the goofy clown?"
He's said he does this to remind himself to not take himself too seriously to not get a big head over being successful in his chosen profession.
but I stuck with it 'cause I was really curious about the "match up" of the two guests...

Fortunately, Michael's family are moving to NYC. Dr Jankovic has had her last day at Cedars-Sinai in LA and she'll be working at an NYC hospital (may have already started) - and she's still doing a fellowship through a hospital in Arizona.
How did Catlin and Michael interact?
I think Corden is a great host/interviewer, and that's why his guests look so good on the show...
He's the best interviewer of all the current talk show hosts.

very nice interaction, NewBe...
like I said, Jenner was surprisingly entertaining, and Michael was relating stories about the "joys of bicoastal living"...
it seemed to be a very friendly guest "match up"...
(I wish I could find the little bit where Caitlyn was answering James' question about a possible golf match with #45 - it was hilarious! maybe it's on YouTube...)
edit: oh yay! I found it! gotta' the last line!

Re hosts, do you guys in the US get Graham Norton shows? Many a Friday night I have been off to bed, not liking who he had as guests but once they were all seated on the sofa, have been thoroughly entertained, mainly because he asks unusual questions and then lets his guests interact.

nas Some great responses: Would have a driver in her hand. Doesn't want to get beaten by a 67 year old trans woman.
Michael certainly enjoyed her answers.

@ mchnelson
yes, the Graham Norton show is here in Arizona on BBCAmerica, but it airs at a weird time on Saturday or Sunday night, so I don't often watch... his format and James Corden's are the same - all the guests on the couch/sofa at the same time makes for a very entertaining exchange and some very funny moments!
@ NewBe
I absolutely 'd CJ's last line after saying #45 wouldn't like "getting beat by a 67 y/o transwoman" - - "I'd clean his clock!" oh, I don't doubt that for a minute!

MW will be appearing with Steven Colbert tonight on his talk show. He definitely didn't go all out dressing up.

I hope his segment gets posted somewhere. I've been up since 0630 so I'm heading to bed as soon as NOLA is over.
