Uh-oh, are we going to have to see more bad fight choreography from Wilmer?

Cold/Teaser:
I'm with the eye rolling Torres.
That I don't approve of. Annoying as Higgins is, Nick may have destroyed someone else's property. Not cool.
Distraction.
Think you lost something there, Nick.
Love the mention of Meat Case (wasn't that Jimmy's 1st case?).
I thought NCIS had a loading dock.
Missing? Runned off (bad grammar on purpose)? On the run from something bad?
C'mon Tim & Abby, why so surprised. As soon as Sportelli looked shocked I knew what he was going to say. Dead woman walking.
ACT I:
Had to leave room. Missed a bit after the commercial.
Missing in Action. Presumed dead.
Ducky's lecture in Scotland. Was this a case? I don't remember it.
If I had science professors in college I'd have done much better than I did. He's popular.
Hmm. Curious. Why the back of the head?
Pennsylvania plates. Same car or is something afoot.
Oh. That's why. Krap! Torres shouldn't have walked away on a stakeout. Period!
Act II:
It IS good seeing Sportelli again.
No kidding. Guys like them can't retire. That leaves death.
Gibbs doesn't run the lab.
What happened to "Donnie's" one true love?
Very unlike Ducky to not want to tell as many stories as possible. In fact this group wanted him to tell his story and let him complete them.
Like Nick before Team Gibbs - was Michelle so deep undercover that she married and had a son?
Is Gibbs assuming? Breaking his own rule?
Is Sportelli going to prove to be the bad guy?
Why did she run in the 1st place? Fear. Just plain out fear. For herself & her unborn baby.
This isn't good. Of course the voice is distorted. Since Sportelli doesn't appear to be at NCIS right now he's jumped to the top of my suspects list.
Act III:
My guess: Daddy (Benny) is the mob son.
Does Sportelli want the bear bonds so he CAN retire? (yeah, I'm convinced it's him)
Never every wear a t-shirt with your kid's personal info on it. Never ever put their team name, jersey number & personal name on a car sticker.
With "Abby" leaving I'm sure David isn't leaving. Summer job for Ducky?
Benny is too obvious. Not gonna be him. Gave kid a chance to escape family name when he found out - 9 years ago - Michelle was still alive.
Who else knew? Who else would take Landon? I'm tellin' ya, Sportelli has gone bad.
She'll never make it to Metro.
Act IV:
Barking up the wrong tree with former cop.
HAH!! Former cop fingers Sportelli.
HAH 2! Sportelli didn't take Michelle to Metro.
So who does have the bonds?
True? Or a bluff?
BLUFF! Bought her some time.
Get him, Gibbs!
Got himself. No sympathy.
10 years under water, those bonds are gone.
I like whey people play nice.
Is this making Ducky feel obsolete?
I'm not ready to lose 2 of them. So please NO!
Ducky has more faith in Dr Palmer than Dr Mallard does.

I'll take the bet. If this was final year CBS would be promoting the heck out of it.

I'll take the bet. If this was final year CBS would be promoting the heck out of it. I'll take that bet too. But I do wonder if they're setting us up for Ducky retiring. We all already know Pauley's leaving at the end of the season, maybe David is leaving too (or at least just reducing his workload).

Ok could someone one spoil me please? I had the tv on while I was out and I saw the very end Palmer coming into autopsy talking to Gibbs I am guessing and it looked like Ducky was saying something to Palmer and they hug...my first inclination was OMG Ducky is leaving. Contrary to what others may think I do believe that David MC is leaving this once 15 is done.

Anybody want to bet they are setting up the end of the series? While I don't think they're setting up the end, they are probably setting up a reduced role for David. He is getting older and he does live in New York full time. If he 'consults' on the case, they may be able to film it in New York, which means he can still be in each episode without having to travel to California to film.

Contrary to what others may think I do believe that David MC is leaving this once 15 is done. Ducky was offered a job as a part-time professor in New York City and an offer to write a book. He came back to NCIS to realize that Jimmy handled the case and he put away the supplies exactly the way Ducky would have done it. Gibbs asked him what the problem was and Ducky didn't have one. Gibbs also asked if he wanted to take the position and Ducky said he did. That's when 'Doc' (Gibbs' called Jimmy 'Doc'!) walked in and Ducky told him he was going to take a leave of absence. So McGee listed off a few cases for Ducky to choose from. I figured most of them but I'm not sure about the others. Thoughts?

If he 'consults' on the case, they may be able to film it in New York, which means he can still be in each episode without having to travel to California to film. David's had a reduced roll for the past two seasons. He was barely in the first four episodes last year, with Jimmy taking most of the traveling work load, this even before the big reveal. And his scenes have been reduced even with Jimmy gone. They are only signed through the end of this season and CBS only renewed it for two years at the end of season 13.
I'm not real sure how long Harmon wants to do this, but even he must want a new challenge as far as acting is concerned. And would anyone really watch the show without Harmon? They've survived Weatherly leaving, They could possibly survive Abby leaving, (for some that would be a welcome relief), but surviving the loss of even a limited Ducky could quite possibly be the death blow.
I'm not going to call it, but I won't be a bit surprised if this is the final season.

BTW - the episode was okay. Not outstanding, not riveting, but not horrible.
Also, glad to see Sportelli gone. Never liked the character.

my interpretation of that final scene is that Ducky is leaving NCIS - period! he told LJG that's what he wants to do, and he seems to have passed the baton to Palmer... so, there will be no part time visits or teleconferences from New York...
I could be wrong, but my guess is that David McCallum has pulled off the quietest show departure in the history of television - - no Going Away Party! no Bon Voyage! not even a gold watch engraved with a "Good Luck"!
yep, D Mc "has left the building"! Bye, bye, Ducky!
eta: I just had a thought - - maybe the title of the episode, Exit Strategy, had not so much to do with the case as it had to do with Ducky's departure, a.k.a., "exit"...

Guess we will have to wait until next week and see if Ducky is seen getting ready to leave or if last night was it.
