Season 15 is winding down and though there has been no official news, it seems unlikely that NCIS will be coming to an end. If the show is renewed or a 16th season there will once again be the opportunity for the producers to look back and possibly review old episodes.
If they were to bring one or more characters back from earlier season's, who would you like to see, and why?
I would like to see Abigail Breslin, just to see what they would do with the talented, blind, little girl kidnapped by her father's henchman for a 2 million dollar ransom. It would be nice to see a 22 year-old Breslin again.

Yes this...I haven't seen the show she is currently on but that would be great. She seems to find time for The Big Bang Theory from time to time (I'd be surprised if she doesn't make Sheldon and Amy's wedding).
I floated this out a few years ago, but I'd like to see Gary Sinise revive Mac Taylor and somehow get involved in a case while visiting the memorials in DC. I think he and MH could play off each other very well as two Marines who have turned to law enforcement.

Since Mac Taylor's group was disbanded, it would be interesting to see what happened to his character.
I love Baranski because she is so versatile and talented. She is one of my favorite actresses. Diane Lockhart is so very different from Dr. Beverly Hofstadter (who of course will be at the wedding because Sheldon is the son she wishes she had!)

pdsmith777 I like the idea of bringing back Abigail, the only negative aspect is that so many of the characters that were in that episode, (well technically three of them), are no longer on the show.

I've always wanted to see R.Lee Ermey (Gunnery Sgt. Hartman in "Full Metal Jacket") do a guest spot as Gibbs' DI. I think it would be a riot to see him interact with the team.

True, but think about the possibilities with Gibbs and McGee. They could go with the father is being released from Leavenworth, she could be a grad student at George Town. David Keith could even make an appearance. It was at the end of this episode that McGee became a full time field agent. I see a lot of possibilities here. Even with Kate, DiNozzo, and soon Ducky and Abby being gone it could still be quite the reunion with Gibbs and McGee.

I wouldn't mind seeing either Kate's sister again or see Catherine Bell show up as "Mac" from JAG.

I wouldn't mind seeing either Kate's sister again or see Catherine Bell show up as "Mac" from JAG. I agree about Kate's sister and while I wouldn't mind seeing Catherine Bell show up again, I'm not sure they would do that because then they would have to answer the question of the who won the coin flip. And I don't think they want to answer that in deference to Mr. Bellisario leaving that question open-ended.
If we're talking JAG characters, I would like to see Bud again in more than just a cameo type role. We're far enough away that it would be neat to see them build a case and take it to trial with JAG but maybe have something new crop up in the trial that changes how they figure out who did it. I also wouldn't mind seeing Harriet again.

I agree, it would be nice to see them do more with "Bud" than just a quick cameo. And throwing in Harriet (and a partially grown AJ) might be fun also.
