^ Don’t read the book Under the Dome that inspired the summer series then, the unnamed “propane drug” briefly mentioned in the show was a meth empire in the novel.
I can second Harlan, missed the air time so watched on the CBS app in bed like I often do, low volume and caption on. It was Harlan.

Harland was her "Alexa" - you can rename them - and she had "him" turn on her lights. If you know what you're doing and have updated lights, TVs, Washers/Dryers etc you can have "Alexa" turn on all of them. Seemed like she had some level of voice recognition incorporated. I can't see much point in having washers and dryers be controlled that way since they still don't load themselves. Maybe it's just me, but once I load it, I run it. I believe in addition to renaming you can also make them respond to 'luminate' and 'deluminate'. Most of those services do have voice recognition. For example, my phone responds to 'Ok Google' but only when I say it. There are ads for Google on the radio right now that ask for the weather, my phone lights up because it hears the phrase 'Ok Google' but it won't show the weather because it isn't my voice.
My phone responds to the phrase 'Lumos' and 'Nox' and will turn the flashlight on and off respectively.
2) @ llyan & tuna my closed captions called it "Harlan" - no "d"...
I'm certain that both Annie and the lawyer said Harland at the end of the episode. While I don't doubt that is what your closed captions said, I think they may have been wrong.

I didn't watch much because it had so little in common with the book. Now, the loose cash that nas mentioned - I had the thought that maybe he was stuffing it up there a couple of bills at a time. I had more trouble with it being all brand new crisp uncirculated bills.

Overall, I enjoyed the episode. I was glad to see that they were keeping up with the theme of Torres' shirts being too tight. I do dislike that his is still being written as a dum@ss. Wilmer is capable of playing more nuanced characters. At least they redeemed Torres in the end.
I definitely see the writers trying to play up some romantic tension between Bishop and Torres. Will it be "Borres" "Tishop" If they keep writing him as an idiot, I just don't see it.
I really liked the character of Annie and how they used her. I thought she was really well done. As a lawyer, I have not idea how she could do her job without her eyes. I have at least two screens going all the time plus paper. But, I guess one must adapt. I liked the idea of taking Torres to the campground so that he would have to hear for himself what she heard (and didn't hear). He dismissed her far too readily initially, I'm glad he opened his mind as well as his ears.
Speaking of lawyers, the family lawyer was cringe-worthy and slimy (and a moron). I too noticed the upside-down business card. I wondered "did you even pass the bar?" I loved Jack's non-verbal responses to him. But of course he was in on the conspiracy. And who would have figured daddy to be Walter White? P.O. Billings must have really loved Louise to steal from the armory just to get daddy's approval. (kind of a thin motive, IMHO)
Why wasn't Torres wearing gloves when he went after the light bulb and searching P.O. Billings' room? And yes, the money looked like Monopoly money.
I felt something off with the Sheriff right away, and I think Gibbs uncharacteristically did not clue in on the third conspirator fast enough. His gut was off about the rifle. I figured right away there was another player when daddy didn't own a rifle.
And yes, I had to laugh when 42 F was "freezing" in the lab and Timmy needing a parka. I could go for temps of 42 right now for spring! Good idea though - freeze-drying the cell phone. Query. How many iPhone users use their thumbs vs. their index fingers? I use my index finger.
Overall, a solid episode.

Agree with the above that it was a "solid" episode, which isn't bad considering this hasn't been a stellar year. Glad to see the show renewed for another season. Now on to the "dumping Abby" episodes. And to answer the question posed above, I use my thumb. The wife uses her index finger.

I use my thumbprint to unlock my phone and my index finger to type.

My phone (not an iPhone) has the scanner on the back so I use both my left and right hand index finger to unlock my phone (had to set up both in the phone.)
Speaking of warmer temperatures, my phone claims it is 50 degrees but that's still darn cold when the building maintenance guys had to open up the window (painted and screwed shut for decades) so they could rescue three workers who were trapped on their window washing rig when the motor seized and wouldn't ascend or descend, leaving them stuck at the 8th floor.

I have a Verizon, Samsung flip phone (Gibbs phone), no locking or unlocking device. I get made fun of by students when they see it.
I also am concerned that they will try to make Torres and Bishop an item. Hate that idea. Would prefer an out of office relationship for both of them, if a relationship is necessary for either.
Agree that they are writing Torres a bit more shallow this season. Last year he had more depth, which was showcased impressively in the episode where the girl was dying of cancer.

Reminds me of the season 4 Tiva teasing. Ziva being overly concerned with what Tony was up to and who he was seeing.Perhaps she works for Matt MurdockI wondered if he ever attended a law class, nevermind the bar. I've encountered real lawyers who were just as slimy, but not as incompetent. Maybe he'd been indulging in the meth they were making. And why was he alone? I know the rest of the team was doing other things, but there must have been someone in HQ that could have gone with him as backup.I don't know about other people, but my comfortable outdoor temperature is much lower than my comfortable indoor temperature, by at least 20 degrees. Still, shouldn't Abby be able to freeze-dry the phone in a refrigerator or something? She shouldn't need to chill the entire lab.

I know the rest of the team was doing other things, but there must have been someone in HQ that could have gone with him as backup. True that!I don't know about other people, but my comfortable outdoor temperature is much lower than my comfortable indoor temperature, by at least 20 degrees. Still, shouldn't Abby be able to freeze-dry the phone in a refrigerator or something? She shouldn't need to chill the entire lab. Guess it makes for humor. She could have used a freezer. I do agree that 42F inside would be a bit chilly.

a little more this 'n' that after a 2nd viewing:
1) I hate the blatant "shipping" between Bishop and Torres... 😡 they make them both sound childish... in addition to Bishop saying, "I don't think about you at all...", Torres says, "Bruckner is my friend, not hers..." what're they? 12 years old!?
2) McGee & Torres go together to question the father at the pharmacy, but Torres goes to Billings' apartment alone!? why solo? where did McGee go to?
3) still think stashing the $$$ in the ceiling loosely was stupid...even if Billings was putting it up there a little bit at a time, as Hari Seldon said, shouldn't he have been using an envelope or a bag - or something!? anything but loose! that was just dumb!
4) after listening and watching several times, I still heard HarlaN - no D... why would it be an homage to Sean Murray's middle name anyway? he's not dead or gone or anything like that?
5) the family attorney was beyond creepy! he was over the top ignorant! ditto, the dude who supposedly got beat up by Billings (but was beaten up by the sheriff) - looked and acted like a moron...
6) with all the "magic" equipment Abby has, she could only dry out the cell phone by dropping the temp of the entire lab down to 42 degrees? seriously?
7) somebody want to explain to me how using Palmer's thumbprint unlocked Billings' phone... they sure didn't explain it very well in the "waxing scene"... is this something I was supposed to know without having to ask? (I thought only the phone's owner could unlock their phone with a thumb/finger print...)
8) either Torres is really, really cheap OR Annie is a cheap date! or both!! they're in the diner to "celebrate" closing the case, and it doesn't warrant dinner in a nice restaurant? just a $25 meal in a diner? wow! classy!!
9) Torres is becoming more arrogant and obnoxious all the time...
10) to those of you who called the episode "solid": I'm sorry but I have to disagree... I realize that I sound more and more like the "nas of old", but these latest episodes just aren't giving me anything to write good things about... imho, the plots are weak, the characters are weird, and the acting (by everyone) really sux...
11) 0h yeah, I almost forgot! Abby yells "Gibbs x's 3" over the intercom, and Gibbs responds with 2 words... are we to assume that all is well in "NCIS land" - I doubt it!
o.k. - I've spent enough time on this episode now...

2) McGee & Torres go together to question the father at the pharmacy, but Torres goes to Billings' apartment alone!? why solo? where did McGee go to?
I thought it was McGee and Reeves at the pharmacy. If I recall the sequence, Tim told Gibbs that Torres had talked to Billing's landlord and the landlord had agreed to let Torres in to look around. Then Tim and Reeves went to the pharmacy and when they found out the daughter had talked to Billing's, McGee called Torres to give him the heads up.
4) after listening and watching several times, I still heard HarlaN - no D... why would it be an homage to Sean Murray's middle name anyway? he's not dead or gone or anything like that?
Why not use Sean's middle name? Does someone have to leave to put in a little Easter Egg like that? Regardless, I watched those scenes again and the first time, I hear Harlan and the end with the smarmy lawyer, I still hear Harland. *shrug*
If I follow their TV show forensics, the wax was used to cover up Palmer's natural print. Then they pressed the wax against a 'high resolution print' of Billing's print, which essentially 'copied' Billing's print onto the wax. That copy was supposedly enough to fool the fingerprint scanner. Not sure if that would actually work but in TV Land it does.
8) either Torres is really, really cheap OR Annie is a cheap date! or both!! they're in the diner to "celebrate" closing the case, and it doesn't warrant dinner in a nice restaurant? just a $25 meal in a diner? wow! classy!!
With that diner, $25 might be expensive for a breakfast meal for two! Although, in my opinion, breakfast at a good diner can be better than a dinner in a nice restaurant. But then again, breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out so maybe I'm not the best person to ask.
