While Bishop, Abby, and Delilah had bonded with each other, Abby even made them girl detective rings out of quarters, the real bond that Bishop had was with Clayton. The beginning scene with she, Torres, Palmer, and then Ducky set the tone as to whom Bishop reacted to.
Now, this caveat must be made, while Abby's life hung in the balance, Reeve's was dead, so the loss was felt by Torres and Bishop more. While McGee would be expected by Abby's bedside, not so much would have been expected from Torres and Bishop.
With Abby's announcement, the seemingly casual [to me] reaction of Bishop seemed almost like an acquaintance was walking out of your life for a time period. Not sure about the on set relationship between the two, but on screen, they seemed close, but not attached at the hip.
Wickersham's overall performance was much more believable, no over reactions, no overly dramatic melancholy, no outbursts, just genuinely felt grief.
Over all good performance by Emily.
