a few comments regarding the post and pix from Sean Harmon:
1) it’s a shame his girlfriend was injured - looks pretty bad... they are very lucky it wasn’t worse - they could have been killed!
2) Sean wrote he was “t-boned”, but from the angle of the picture of his vehicle, it doesn’t appear that he was “t-boned”... it looks like the Beemer hit the front end of his SUV and then proceeded to crash into the pole... if they had actually been hit dead center, as in t-boning, they may not have survived that crash!
3) I’m sure he is angry and very shaken by this incident; his words were very strong... I agree, this kind of senseless rioting, looting, and the even more senseless killing of innocents caught in the melee serves no useful purpose... I’m not a fan of Pauley Perrette, but she posted something on Twitter that said the looting and destruction in Hollywood was being done by a bunch of kids who don’t even know who George Floyd was and what the BLM protesting is about... no surprise there! 😡
4) last, but not least, I have to ask again: WTF were he and his girlfriend doing out on the street in Santa Monica on Saturday night!? I googled mapped (street view) that area using Big Jo’s Burgers as a focal point (look at the picture), and it doesn’t look like someplace I’d want to be driving around on a Saturday night during a riot...
man, this whole situation is soooo awful... my heart is still 💔... I wake up every morning wishing it was just a bad dream - but it isn’t... 😕

Hi all, As many of you know, I live in a suburb of Minneapolis. I have been sick, angry, frustrated, disappointed, etc., I have not watched the video of Mr. Floyd losing his life, as it is just that, a video of a man being murdered. I have been watching the news in tears as I am sickened by what is going on in my beloved Twin Cities. I can tell you I am proud of Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, Mayor Carter, AG Ellison, and Chief Arrondando. I am also proud of the people of our great cities. Although there has been looting and arson, a lot of it was done by out of state folks, and not by protesters. Thousands have turned out to clean up the streets, donate food and necessary supplies to the neighborhoods affected. Yes, I was unnerved by the National Guard helicopters flying just a few miles from my house in my nice safe suburbia (I live in a suburb that is known as a shopping mecca), and saddened by the looting and the closure of the stores. But, this is a wake-up call for us, and it appears that people are listening. I really think real change will come of this. I am old enough to remember the hope for change in the 1960's, but I think this time will be different.
As I am high-risk, I have not been out of the house, except to walk my new dog, which I got just before the pandemic struck. When I do go walking, I of course wear a mask, as I run into so many neighbors (we Minnesotans love to be outside!). Unfortunately, that leaves all the errands to my spouse, who has been a tremendous sport. We do as much delivery as we can, but trips to Home Depot are inevitable! Again, I am so proud of Governor Walz and his team for the approach they have taken to protecting Minnesotans in this pandemic. It is a scientific, measured response that is working. I am, of course, very concerned about a spike in cases in a week or so because of all the protests.
Stay safe everyone!
