I guess it was bound to happen. I was initially surprised it wasn't done back in the Ziva years, but it looks like they want some drama with Nick taking some hits and Ziva would of course have gone against 10 masters and come out without a scratch. I'm expecting to see some really low level choreography with some pathetic excuses for martial arts. Too bad they can't get a guest star agent played by someone who knows what they're doing.

Sneak Peeks. I didn't watch yet, so just the order they were put up. 3

Edit: Looks like i got the right order. Also, in that third clip I'm hoping that right after where the clip finishes the two of them start laughing at having the rest of the team convinced because if that was supposed to be real then this episode will be painful to watch. I looked up the other agent and his previous fighting on screen experience was the soap opera Riverdale and before that he was a model.

Uh-oh, Parker sounds a bit snippy about not having an office... Will we see the WKRP treatment?

I am definitely not a fan of Blood Sports (with the possible exception of football)… watching two people - whether it be male or female - get into a ring (or cage) with the sole intention of beating each other to a bloody pulp (or unconscious) is something I simply cannot watch, and will never understand the purpose of it, or why people find it entertaining…
that said, this episode didn’t appeal to me - even if it was “make believe”…
imo, the acting was really cheesy - and a word of advice to Torres: “Get tf over it, dude!”
so, Hari Sheldon, were you impressed or was it about what you expected? 🤔

To start with I've stated before that I prefer the brooding Torres to the clown they have been trying to replace DiNozzo with. So with Torres feeling abandoned by both Elly and Gibbs, this version of Torres is nice to see.
The problem is they have now given themselves two reveals with Nick, and after doing nothing with the first, I doubt they will do anything with the second. A bad habit they picked up with Glassberg who gave us Delilah in a wheelchair, but not much more after that.
Sawyer being back was something I dreaded, but they actually gave him something significant to do and it paid off. Doubt we will see him again, but at least they didn't waste a performance. That was the Good.
Forty-two minutes isn't much time to tell a story as complicated as this one and they slammed the brakes on this show sending everyone through the windshield. I get they wanted Palmer and Torres in autopsy for the last scene, but "sling everything on the wall" scene in the bullpen to summarize the case was sloppy. There may not have been enough material for a two-parter, but the layout for this one was poorly planned and executed. That was the Bad.
I'm not a fan of fighting, wrestling, or other personal combat sports. And the cage scene was either too long, though the need for drawing out the drama was necessary, or too intense, Nick looked like those hanging slabs of meet from the movie "Rocky". The quick brush with the human trafficking angle was woefully inadequate for the seriousness of the subject, and the encounter with DIA was just stupid. This is the Ugly.
Overall, the bad and ugly outweigh the good. The Hawaii episode that followed was far superior.

Not much good to say about this episode. McGee as a fight promoter (or whatever they call that job) wasn't at all realistic. Did like how they used Sawyer but saw the missing eye for what it was almost immediately so not a lot of suspense there. Way too convoluted a plot for the time involved. On the other hand, my grandson said he liked the outfit they gave Knight to wear. That's a plus, I think.

on a side note, the actor Alex Sparrow who played Maxim Dovhal has a varied and interesting background/resume - according to his IMDb bio - - check it out… on top of that, he’s pretty! 😄
this episode makes 2 in a row that were “meh” for me… last week’s “Trekie” episode was lost on me, and this week’s “fight” episode was, well, just not my cuppa’…
