Second episode in a row that featured one of the new characters. They need to do more of that, so we get a better feel for the new team members. Liked this episode better than the last. Thought the scene in the bedroom between Knight and the husband was particularly well done. I hate to admit it, but the husband's willingness to make up with the sister-in-law in the closing scene makes him a better man than I would be in the same circumstances.

first off, don’t ask me - or Maxine - what we think of gender reveal parties! you really don’t want to know…
aside from the totally gross intro , I thought the episode was pretty good… I actually had a few lol moments, one of which involved the weirdo Curtis Hubley… so he kinda’ liked being hazed - okaaaaay…. (into a little friendly S&M, too, Curtis? )
even tho’ she had a Search Warrant and she is/was an experienced hostage negotiator, I wondered about Jess going into the house all alone… is this SOP? it didn’t even look like there was any backup outside until Vance showed up - along with the somewhat obnoxious local LEO…
as usual, the case was rather convoluted, and the reason for the murder was weak… but I liked it in spite of that… maybe it’s because I like Katrina Law as Agent Knight - and I ❤️ Gary Cole as “Park”! ahhhh, grey haired men with beards - 🥰

Me too .... not a fan although to each their own
I was surprised as well
I am enjoying Katrina Law as Knight more that any of the other recent female agents (I did not dislike any of them but like this character/ actress a little more). And I also am enjoying Gary Cole as agent Parker.

BTW, I failed to notice, but did anyone check to see if Parker's desk is still dented on the front?

And thanks for checking. If you need a reference when that Secretary of the Navy gig ends, let me know and I'll write a glowing letter.

nas A group of vultures is called a wake and the vultures were key to the plot of this one.

thanx, Hari...
I went back and found the scene where Parker and “Flores” were looking for “vulture crap”, and that’s when the word “wake” came up - Parker was schooling him on the ways of vultures…
tbh, as much as I like the writers making Parker 180° different from Gibbs (being tech savvy, outgoing, etc.) I hope they don’t make him an expert on everything on every single case - that would be overdoing it, imo…
it’s bad enough that Kasie has an answer for everything - even before the questions are asked! just saying’…

nas I could quite easily be wrong, but the dialogue sounded like Parker's part was written for Ducky, but they couldn't get DMcC for that episode (either availability or the higher ups said no) so they adapted it to Parker.

I just had a strange thought, and have a question:
are vultures usually found in parks in the NCIS Headquarters area/in Virginia?
and no vulture jokes about D.C., please…
