nas Well, nas, Jimmy WAS her +1 at a cousin's wedding, right? You know how romantic those ties can be, and how the family can already put them next in line at the altar, since Knight is probably considered quite an old maid by the rest of her family...

Another episode that seemed to be an hour and 20-minute plot shoved into an hour. When that happens, the show tends to wrap it up too quickly. Thought both Knight and Palmer did good jobs acting and because the plot centered on them, that was nice. Kinda convenient how the liver delivery and the case managed to dove-tail (too convenient). Best scene had to be Palmer offering Knight the PB&J and her whipping out the knife to cut off the crusts. Somebody did a good job thinking that one up.

Wow! 24 hours since the episode aired, and not one post - good or bad! (edit: oops! verdun posted while I was writing this!)
o.k., I’ll bite… here goes:
~ who the heck goes to a car wash with a van loaded with “hot” slot machines? seriously? did the van need a washing that badly? ~ couldn’t the writers come up with a more plausible way for the dead guy to be found? ~ as seen in Kasie’s lab, those machines were wayyyy too big to all fit in that van!
~ overacting by the car wash guy, the “liver doctor” - and ditto, Kasie with her gambling obsession…. quite irritating! 😖
~ Palmer takes a bullet in the azz, er thigh, and Knight becomes a surgeon capable of removing it, all the while they’re talking about the wedding and how they like each other… ~ miracle of miracles! a cabin in the middle of nowhere where they find what they need - including a sewing kit 😂 - to perform said surgery! ~ if blood loss didn’t kill him, the infection from using those dirty, dusty rags surely should/would have! ~ but Palmer, being Palmer, manages to get up and continue on his trek to deliver the liver… (remember, this is the guy who became a doctor without seemingly going through medical school or completing a residency of any kind!)
~ what a coincidence! the recipient of the liver just happens to be a major player in this case!
~ as happens so often with this show, the ending was rushed…
~ oh, btw, I see zero chemistry between Palmer and Knight! zilch! nada! none!
this is the first time in a long time that the Realist in me has kicked in to such a degree, but this episode was honestly, irritatingly ridiculous…. 😝

The transplant bit was rather dull, even with bullets flying. The saving grace of this episode were the scenes with Ducky. While I also can't call Ducky's scenes original, it was just great to see him on the screen again. Lots of BS points in this one. Even if it's his first run, Jimmy would have been trained by the organ transport people enough to know the doctor doesn't accompany - in two ways, first, he even said one person watching the organ and one driving, and two, hospitals don't send doctors as escorts, they'd delegate that to a CNA. Also, no way Jimmy just goes home after being shot like that, he's spending at least a few days in the hospital, probably receiving a transfusion if the wound was bad enough to use the belt as a tourniquet. That wound would also be opened back up by a qualified doctor to make sure there is not internal bleeding and close it properly with actual surgical stitches.

(edit: oops! verdun posted while I was writing this!) And you posted this while I was writing mine. They probably would have said he wanted to get rid of dirt that would be evidence of his side trip with the machines.I think she said something about acquiring more machines to check for further added code.Yeah, but happens all the time in TV shows. In fairness, infection would take a couple of days to be visible and somewhat longer to cause real harm. When has that ever been a requirement on this show? (Torres/Bishop, Tony/Ziva, Gibbs/all the ex wives)

though it was nice to see Ducky in a few scenes, even DMac couldn’t salvage this hot mess of an episode, Hari…😕

As usual I am behind - will maybe watch it by the weekend ... I am actually not reading the reviews yet, stopped at your first line... I do check the poll though before I watch the episode....

According to the results of the poll so far, it's hard to believe these people were watching the same show...

question: how does one access “the poll”? do you have to open a CBS account or something like that?
