But now Hawaii will be a little safer. Or at least more "Cool". As for the finale, I was not impressed and that cliffhanger was just plain stupid. Is "Nicky" gonna go full LJG on us? I actually liked the episode & the case. Didn't have a clue who the bad guy (or girl) was. They should have used this case as the cliffhanger... leaving eveyone in the dark. I'm not excited about the cliffhanger they gave us. I am curious, what was the cliffhanger?

the episodes that feature Torres undercover are always good for comic relief… first off, it takes him all of 20 minutes to make his “hook up” and… secondly, his “bad-ass” persona is just too funny! 😂 like I wrote in an earlier post, reducing a guy, who’s almost a foot taller and 50 pounds of muscle heavier, to a cowering mass of tears is just hilarious… in your dreams Valderama! 😅
the idea that the “bad guys” had a weapon of mass destruction that could put the entire world in complete darkness and total shutdown was beyond believable… and the idea that it was discovered by a little team at NCIS was even more unbelievable! but the most unbelievable part of this whole thing was that this little NCIS team - including Kasie a.k.a. “Sister Kasie” - was able to divert the whole scheme!!
and in the end scene we find that by some miracle of miracles Torres has found his “long lost whoever”…
in thinking about the episode this morning my single thought about the cliffhanger ending and return of season 21 was, “meh, who cares”…
nas
eta: an afterthought just came to me; this episode could have/should have been titled “NCIS: Fantasy Island”

I'm not excited about the cliffhanger they gave us. As soon as Yuri mentioned a sister, we knew who she was, and that she had played them. As it was, the end of this major case was rather underwhelming. We were wondering if we had heard the backstory of whoever the guy in Torres' crosshairs is. We assume that the guy shafted Nicky, his mom and his sis many years ago...

Torres called his sister & said he’s alive & still doing the same thing. He found out where the guy lives & confronted him & said he wanted to kill him.

a quick question: has Torres ever mentioned having a sister before - or is this a new addition to his family that the writers just threw at us?
I know he has mentioned coming to the States with his mother as a small boy, but honestly don’t remember any mention of siblings…

nas He mentioned her in the previous episode, but I don't remember prior to that. You'd think she would have come up in the episode with his dad.
I missed it before, but I should have recognized the name Evelyn Shaw. About 10 years back, there was a series named Chuck, and the character of Evelyn Shaw was the only briefly seen wife of the main 3rd season bad guy, Daniel Shaw, played by former Superman, Brandon Routh. She was killed for reasons unknown by the lead female character, Sarah Walker. Interestingly, though he only appeared in two episodes, the father of Sarah Walker was played by none other than Gary Cole. One more tidbit, the 4th season bad guy was Alexei Volkoff (Timothy Dalton) who had a daughter Vivian Volkoff who just happened to be a redhead.
Am I reaching, or does it sound like the writer might have been aware of these things?

thanx, Hari…
actually, while waiting for someone to answer me I Googled the question and came up with the following answer - so, in brief:
Lucia Campbell (presumably formerly "Lucia Torres") is a Major in the United States Marine Corps, the widow of deceased Navy Commander George Campbell, the mother of Amanda Campbell, and the older sister of NCIS Special Agent Nicholas Torres as well as the daughter of Miguel and Aida Torres.
Lucia Campbell | NCIS Database - Fandom
I honestly have no recollection of her being mentioned by Nick, although that doesn’t mean much… I’ve probably forgotten most of the episode’s contents over the years…

Yeah, I had totally forgotten about Torres' sister as well.
Anyway, last week I said I just wanted the finale to not suck and that it didn't end on a cliffhanger. Well, I did get 1 out of 2. And really, it wasn't a huge cliffhanger. At least I don't think so.
I thought the episode was OK. Didn't have a lot of things that annoyed me. Yeah, that whole "we can have this super-duper virus knock out all power through the whole entire country!" stuff was over the top. But not unexpected to what we've seen these writers concoct before. And that "hey let's quickly put up a website on that reform school that Torres made up" was silly too. I mean, how would you look up info about a school? You'd probably Google it. Or use some other search engine. Doubtful you would go to the actual school URL (unless somehow that was given to that bad dude). And I doubt if it was put into the system long enough for Google to find it. But I could just fan-wank and our heroes put out an emergency alert to Google to quickly include that school in it's search engine. But that was quick of Torres to think on his feet to make up that school out of the blue like that.
Which brings me to this. Perhaps I am in the minority of NCIS fans, but I really am warming up to his character now. In the beginning I felt he was too self-centered, arrogant, rude, etc. But as he's been developed I really do like Torres. Hope he stays. It'll be interesting how that cliffhanger at the end will be dealt with.
I wasn't expecting much out of this season finale. I did hope maybe for a certain former head of the team to maybe make an appearance, along with perhaps a very special agent. But certainly didn't hold my breath on seeing either one show up. Still liked it better than I thought I would. I liked a couple of the twists and turns. Even if the main plot made one suspend disbelief massively. So I'll give this one a solid B. Now we'll see how long we have to wait for the next season due to the writer's strike (and I'm definitely on the side of the writers).

Given what nas dug up, there must have been a previous mention, but last week was just Torres saying he'd been on the phone with the sister rather than his mother. I doubt the cliffhanger will amount to much. Here he says he wants the guy dead and most likely next season starts with him finishing the sentence with, "but you're going to get my little teenage friend out of prison and then we'll see about that."

I am figuring that LJG and ADjr might pull what was pulled on NCIS:Los Angeles with Hetty -- and, in the series finale, they each send a letter to Tim, wishing him luck in his new position as TeamLeader/Director/SecNav/President/whatever the writers elevate him to... Speaking of writers, I think NCIS fans should go on strike and demand better writing...

This posted before I wrote anything: sorry! I just wanted to say I like your idea for the next episode a lot better than what they probably will come up with.

Bad news and good news. The bad news is that it was a cliffhanger. The Good news is that it wasn't the cliffhanger for this episode's main plot. They had run the Russian plot about as far as they could (Lev Trotski for the henchman's name? Come on now), but that's never stopped NCIS from running a plot too long. Wondered why the girl from the Delilah episode kept showing up and was not expecting her to be the bad guy's daughter until right at the end. Interesting the bad guy decided to go out in a blaze of glory and the daughter didn't. I suppose that means we can meet her again if they need her (please, NO). I normally don't like Kasie, but I did like the "Sister Kasie" bit. I am totally uninterested in Torrez's confrontation with someone from his (and his sister's) past. I guess that whoever said Torrez will move to make the guy help get the kid out of prison is probably right. All in all not a bad season (there have been both better and worse). Parker is growing on me and I now fully accept him as part of the team. So we see where they go next season assuming the writers come back. Wonder how many episodes are already written?
