#1.loved your review - and yes, wayyyy too generous imo, brgjoe… nothing else I can say or add, so I won’t…
#2. possibly there are some new writers who failed to educate themselves in the characters backstories, Hari, and they missed this one:Kasie revealed she was in a relationship with a woman called Piper (Tess Aubert) who has already made an appearance in the drama. Mar 29, 2022nothing like a good ol’ retcon! next thing you know Breena will be back and furious that her husband is having an affair with “that woman”!
#3. 🤔 does NCIS really have an Emergency Hotline number?
nas They do have a hotline

Just came back to add that it was sad not seeing “with David McCallum” in the opening credits.

I also wondered about why NCIS would have a call center. I suppose they would have some sort of dispatch on the base to differentiate calls like "Help! My cat is up in the tree and he won't come down!" from "A dirty bomb is about to be detonated at the CIA". Though I'm sure Torres is an expert at getting cats out of trees as well.
I forgot to mention the new opening. I figured they would remove DM from it. But it was still sad to see it happen anyway.

As someone who worked for Customer Support under several bosses and was sold several times to various companies, I can't begin to tell you how I wished those hired after me had as much training as Kacie received before taking her first call. I worked support for a student information system and was told by pretty much all the bosses that they could hire people off the street to do my job faster. Apparently it doesn't take all that much time to figure out why the GPA on student A is different from student B one has 2 honor's classes the other has 3 and lets figure out student C who has no honor classed and is scoring higher... yep everyone can figure that out..... One of the happiest days of my work life was when the company went in a direction different than the one that me in it's vision..... all school districts I supported left that summer.....
We were also required to do silly Walk a Mile type jobs never all on the same day..... and it always annoyed me that in addition to learning their job on what would have been my lunch I had to check in to make sure the folks hired off the street weren't having problems.... it always took days to recover from Team Building exercises mandated by management.....
the show was entertaining if you didn't think too hard about it..... which is pretty much how it should be viewed...... pure silly entertainment with pretty people who don't really follow the rules that make the real world live able.

geez, kaschu! how did you respond to being told someone off the street could do your job faster!? what an insult!! a major slap in the face! 😡
regarding that little scene with Torres being told he’s an “accounting genius”: yeah, riiiiight! he spent like 20 minutes Walking a Mile in that woman’s shoes before leaving? 🤔 I wonder how many accountants watching the show were insulted by that little bit… first of all they portrayed the character as a stodgy old biddy! not all accountants are stodgy OR old! secondly, I’ve known a few accountants in my day and they are extremely intelligent, well educated people… detail oriented to the penny - but, hey, that’s what they do!
frankly, I’m tired of Torres being written like some kind of super-dude from a Stan Lee Marvel comic book… not only can he beat up guys who are a foot taller than he is and outweigh him by a hundred pounds - now he’s a “spreadsheet savant”! oh, puuuuulease…
oh yeah, one other thing… maybe he can rescue a kitty-kat out of a tree, brgjoe, but only if he doesn’t have to climb higher than 10 feet!

nas Nah, Ziva was the tree climber. I forget which episode, but they were investigating at some bigwig's house and only she could get cell service because she had climbed a tree to get a better view.
