CBS Reveals Fall Premiere Dates for Tracker, NCIS, FBI, Matlock and More

CBS on Saturday became the fourth broadcast network (after ABC, The CW and NBC) to lock down premiere dates for the Fall TV season.

Survivor is first out the gate when it returns for Season 47 on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Meanwhile, two of the Eye network’s high-profile launches will receive “sneak peeks” later that month, with Kathy Bates’ Matlock reimagining premiering on a special night, Sunday, Sept. 22, followed by reality competition series The Summit, which will bow Sunday, Sept. 29.

CBS Premiere Week then officially kicks off on Monday, Oct. 14, with Season 22 of NCIS and the two-hour series premiere of Gibbs prequel series NCIS: Origins (narrated by Mark Harmon). The following four nights will feature the returns of FBI, Ghosts, Elsbeth, S.W.A.T., Fire Country and Blue Bloods, plus the debut of Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

A week later, The Neighborhood resurfaces on Mondays, where it will lead into new Wayans family comedy Poppa’s House. CBS’ final two premieres — Tracker and The Equalizer — land on Sunday, Oct. 27.

All told, CBS’ primetime rollout looks like this:

It does seem later than usual.

You’d be surprised at how many people will act and behave in a certain manner as long as they are benefitting in some way, watch what happens when you remove those benefits, you just may see their mask fall off.

That's about 3 weeks later than usual. But considering that they're shooting a few less episodes, this might be their way of still finishing around the same time as usual with less episodes.

Wonder how long they will go till the "fall/winter" break they normally give us most of December and part of January off to watch wonderful Holiday and Awards shows..... Guessing that will remain the same, cause gosh I just need to see another weird music awards show.... the 12 dozen we have now aren't enough.....

So it looks like there's going to be a little winter hiatus, which should allow for more episodes without repeats. The last episode before Christmas is scheduled to be on the 16th.

CBS ANNOUNCES WINTER PREMIERE DATES FOR 2024-25 PRIMETIME SEASON

New episodes of CBS’ scripted series return to the schedule the last week in January, beginning Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 with the WATSON series premiere following the AFC Championship Game. WATSON will air in its regular time period beginning Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), followed by THE EQUALIZER in its new time period at 10:00 PM, ET/PT. NCIS: SYDNEY returns for a second season on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and S.W.A.T. moves to 10:00 PM, ET/PT.
