An utter aside, but Vance looks good in a three-piece suit.

One week to go! Two sneak peaks so far. If more are dropped, I'll add them later.

that episode was all. over. the. place! - - it was making me wonder what Chris Waild was on when he wrote it… 🤔
can’t even begin to write a review atm…
eta: oh, I did have a favorite scene: when Torres shot out the lights and proceeded to beat up 4 bad guys single handedly!

nas Reused prop of course. I was initially thinking it was just the last one. Still, the packaging size would be accurate if it came from Amazon. I suppose the alternative would be Torres getting beaten before the cavalry arrived and we hear he's got three broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a detached retina so he won't be back to work and completely healed for a full 48 hours. 😺😺

I guess we know the season arc ...
I am kind of just glad to be back on the boards discussing the show - anything is better than the news

Hey all! Happy to be back to to new episodes!
I rewatched the episode and took a few stream of conscious thoughts:
- The media rez story telling is a familiar trope. NCIS has used it multiple times before including an episode this one kinda reminded me of a little. It’s a little like Truth or Consequences. We get the episode told to us through the lens of Knight’s story to the lawyer, who ended up being the bad guy. Is Jess telling her the whole truth?
- Protein pastry, looks like Parker rubbed off on Knight.
- I’m not sure why they needed the lawyer to collide with the REACT agent to break her arm.
- Nice to see Seamus Dever on screen again. I liked him in Castle and it’s fun seeing him in a (seemingly) shady role. And he joins the two-timers club. He was in 4x03 Singled Out where he also played a bad guy.
- Nice job by Katrina playing her regret. Even though she got what she thought she wanted, she’s clearly having second thoughts.
- She also plays the ditzy damsel pretty well. Just like she did her first episode as a regular (19x01)
- The bad guy took Torres turning down killing the NCIS agent way better than I get the feeling that any drug cartel would.
- I appreciate that El Padre was literal and figurative for the name of the head of the cartel.
- I feel like there was something cut from the episode that would explain why Knight asked Parker to trust her and he said no. But when he said trust me, she immediately agreed. They must have worked out the plan ahead of time but we didn’t get to see that part.
- In hindsight, it makes sense that the lawyer couldn’t have known about Nick being under cover and that something else was rotten in Denmark.
- It’s just like McGee to keep digging and find out that the IG LaRoche also had access to the information.
- Awe, poor McGee got passed over. Plot-wise, it isn’t unsurprising. Especially when Inspector General LaRoche walked in with ominous music in the background. To be determined if he’s dirty or if he’s just a red herring. Or a mint, since he’s clearly chomping on those mints as a plot point.
All in all, it was a good episode. It served to get the team back together. It was twisty enough that I forgot about the lawyer until they arrested her at the end. Minor quibbles that Jimmy and McGee didn’t have much to do. But this was really a Knight episode and she did a good job.
