Scope - Season 13, Episode 18. Episode #300
While there were several (on the old board) who were disappointed with this episode I clearly was not. While several people may think this is an ensemble show, it isn't . There is a clear star (Harmon) and leader (Gibbs), and this was a show about the leader.
Going back to his marine sniper days, dealing with the loss of Shannon and Kelly, getting tricked by the Doctor, all of this made for wonderful story telling. Add to that Taye Diggs along with Laura San Giacomo, and an incredible performance by Samantha Logan as Diggs daughter, and this was great TV, and a great celebration of a long and prosperous TV series.
Yes, the special sniper rifle was a bit much, but the focus on Music Corp. was a nice touch, though maybe a bit heavy handed.
I think what made this special for me was that this was an actual solve the crime story, instead of the retrospective they did for 200. While that was a nice episode, it was disappointing as far as a "special" episode.

is this board not making it? or am I looking in the wrong places? wanted to discuss NCIS but nobody is talking about it, oh well It is slower over here than when we were on the other board. Not as many trolls stirring up trouble and not as much back and forth about irrelevant items.
So there are days when there are no postings, or very few postings. But I do come here several times a day, when I'm not working, to check up on things, so if you want to talk about something, just post. I will probably respond.

I check several times a day. Sometimes I post, most of the time I just read, if there is anything new.

Not everyone from IMDb came here to discuss the show as there were several options of where to go.
Like IMDb this is an open forum for anyone to join if they come across us. I posted the link to Twitter when it opened. If anyone else wants to do so I'd be okay with that.
PS: Curious why this post was made on a S13 episode thread.

Off Topic, you said you wouldn't grouse. Just a weird place to put the observation.

I watched this today. I have a question about the last scene..... we know that Gibbs and Shannon lived in that house.... then Gibbs remarried... so Diane lived there, Rebecka lived there.... he slept in the room upstairs with Dr. Ryan... so the last scene in Scope Gibbs goes up the the room and there are boxes packed and a mattress is in Plastic.... was it a new mattress??
And continuing on... are we to guess Gibbs now sleeps upstairs? given the start of this season I'm going to guess he and Fornell didn't share the couch....

I took the plastic on the mattress as put on there after Shannon died to protect the mattress since he'd stacked a bunch of stuff on it (Rule 51).
The couch. There's also the fact that the one that Gibbs had for decades (left over from the Shannon days) sprung a spring so was no longer usable as a bed.
Diane & Rebecca. I wonder if he kept the house but moved in with each of them and used it as a sanctuary - probably far too often for sustaining the marriages. The majority of his marriage to Stephanie was in Moscow. Maybe they never lived together in the US.
It's clear that the ex's knew about his boat building because all, including Stephanie, knew about it (though I'm not sure Rebecca knew since we didn't see her down there). Stephanie's the one who commented that it was sweet of Gibbs to name the boat he'd been building (the one that later ended up in the harbor near the San Diego Navy base with 2 dead bodies on it) after Kelly.

That makes sense since he still has the house, in a divorce I could see that Diane would have delighted in taking that from him.

Wasn't it Internal Affairs when Gibbs was waiting for Fornell outside Diane's house (Tobias was there to pick up Emily) to ask who was being targeted with the polygraph's?

They've never been consistent with Fornel's living arrangements. In "Jack Knife", Gibbs picks up Tobias at a two story home. In, I believe it was "Troll" while Fornel and Bishop are staking out the house, he remarks that he's given up his bachelor pad to move into Diane's home to watch Emily.
I really don't think they have a show Bible because they are usually all over the place with their "history"

I really don't think they have a show Bible because they are usually all over the place with their "history" I figured he'd moved out of his "newly single man" apartment because Emily was growing up.
When Gibbs came back from Mexico to "save" Ziva his house was up for sale and being treated for termites so Fornell had Gibbs stay with him - they were chatting in Emily's little girl room (no chance Gibbs would have fit in her bed). - Escaped.
PS: NCIS has never been very good at consistency.
