"Mind Games" - Season 3, Episode 3
As close to a psychological thriller as they get. Agent Cassidy fills the role of the teams female agent for one episode before Ziva joins the team.
The performances of everyone, especially Christopher Shyer as Kyle Boone, are on the mark and especially the interactions between Boone and Gibbs. There are enough twists and turns, unexpected occurrences, and surprises in this episode to keep you guessing who is doing what all during the episode.
The ending isn't what you expect and the unanswered questions that are left, are just shadowed enough to keep you guessing.
Worth watching again.

Worth watching again. They blew it on the last phoof by showing at the top of Act 4 that Paula was alive. Other than that it was one of my favorite episodes of Season 3.

They kind of blew it. You had to know that they weren't going to kill off another agent that soon after Kate left.
Yes, I agree that they could have chosen a different phoof, however, they did end the last scene/act with Cassidy in the arm sling, and that's how they use the Phoofs, so, they kind of backed themselves into corner with that one.

When the reveal is big they insert a phony phoof at the top of the act nowadays.
