I mentioned elsewhere that I've decided to approach Season 14 and a whole new show - sort of a Season 1A rather than 14.
I wanted to smack Alex Quinn for bullying - and that's what it was to me - Bishop. It was just mean for the sake of being mean.
I rather like Nick Torres and the fight scene in the alley didn't bother me. It's very rare that any fight scene looks real, well because it isn't.
Maybe, just maybe Gibbs revenge days and tacitly approving of others getting revenge, is over. He's done it too many times to count but I'm hoping the show has turned over a new leaf in this regard.
The "slovenly Fornell milking his injury for all it's worth" felt forced to me. He's so intrusive Gibbs hasn't even been able to sit on his own new couch since he purchased it several months ago. Also a bit forced was Gibbs now having a guest room so he could invite Nick to stay there. Alex being there to "babysit" for Tobias was also forced. I know they had to move the plot along but I don't think this was an organic way to do it.
To be honest, since they were introducing 2 new characters in the season premier it needed to be 2 hours.
Tony. I found I didn't miss him at all because, like many of us here, he'd become a ghost of the rich character he was before Glasberg took over (astonishing really since I once groused about Shane Brennan who was fantastic in comparison - Requiem, anyone?).
I am glad Ellie dared to invoke his name and she was right in telling Tim that Tony would want him to take over the desk.
(With all the potential probies in and out (the one we saw was getting his neck thingy from her old desk) was she sitting at the desk since McGee wouldn't?)
Kind of interested in finding out who's gonna sit where.
So, are we to imply that Ellie and Clayton are involved? I'm looking forward to his return and curious to see how it's going to work with 6 team members.
Quibble: How was Ellie able to take 4 months off from working (As I understood it, she spent the summer in Scotland w/Reeves)? It would take YEARS to earn that much time off.
Glad to see Jimmy not being an idiot; that he didn't choke when Ducky quizzed him.
Still wish Abby would cut out the jerky head movements and not looking anyone in the eyes when she talks to them.
